  1. Riding while snowing has it challenges too, never understood those that preferred to avoid it, but different strokes for different folks.
  2. Love / hate for the snow......could do without the storm until arrived at destination, trailer is parked and ready to ride.....than snow like crazy !
  3. At least they look to be used vehicles vs. brand new!
  4. That’s great to get one! I’m guessing you aren’t or weren’t a golfer than as most wouldn’t stop after a HIO. However commenting on an activity and its protocols in place given you didn’t partake, really isn’t necessary given the comment you replied to.... sounds like something one of those “characters “ would do And FTR, courses last year had no issues enforcing their rules, even a private course.....I’d even go as far to say the more ritzier club were more stern than the lesser one.
  5. Played plenty of rounds last summer / fall. All drinks or food after round was outside, very limited access to indoors. And it’s the cart lady or ladies on the course or halfway house where the money is made on bevies. Do you or did you play golf last year?
  6. The true North strong and free.......what happened (not need to answer that). When you think about how Canada has been a country that has been so accepting of many people & cultures, some have embraced while others not so much......that I feel is a huge part now as to why we are continuing down this downward spiral surrounding this whole situation in a very sharp way. And to say I kept on track with the thread subject - no way the Toronto show happens. Sept will see a spike in numbers again that will bring more lock downs in Oct through the winter months. Peterborough might have a chance.
  7. That is the only time we had issues, but like you said, give the logging trucks their space. It must have a been quick thaw and freeze the day before or maybe some freezing rain, it was crazy how fast we went sideways, zero time to react, even the guy behind us saw it all happen and he could not believe it......seeing the cruiser up side down and the officer fall down made us both feel better. After we went back for a another vehicle and carried on again, zero issues.
  8. One of our trips through we were lucky enough to encounter that.....our truck into a rock wall and OPP coming out to do his report flipped his truck onto the roof on his way to us, then when another OPP finally made it to us, fell flat on his a$$ when he stepped out of his vehicle. That road trip was a great one!
  9. LOL....modern day road updates on f/book, that is funny, yet very useful. I am pretty sure when we frequented that road, f/plant was not around or at least neither of us that were driving were a member.
  10. revrnd seems to be a pretty good fabricator, he might be able to whip you up a custom hitch for that fancy new vehicle of yours....
  11. Agreed, although I do not know if Sultan falls into the same category as the other highways.....more of a logging road that is used as a short cut by locals, Hydro, Bell and of course loggers. Not sure if the road has changed in the last decade or two, but I know it used to be a very rough road.
  12. Have taken 144, across sultan rd over to wawa many times, definitely need to be on your toes!
  13. Sure am glad I ordered mine earlier, Feb 25ish I think.....hoping if there is shortages, I assume BRP processes orders based on first in is first out so to speak, where it makes sense given the various models that come off the assembly line.
  14. Well that sucks.....that would be similar to not getting your sled until the end of Jan / early Feb. Will be some interesting times ahead of us, might be some excited people, more than usual that is.
  15. yep....I think people feel as though that is why they are now offering another manufacture of shock on the 2022's.
  16. It could very well be with so many other things in turmoil too. But I am wishful that Ski-Doo is ahead of the curve regarding their supply chain......the writing has been on the wall for a bit now and if I am not mistaken, the pre-order numbers were capped already, which one would think they already had what was needed to fulfil those numbers.
  17. I was surprised what the smaller delta was on sleds sold in US vs. Cdn......but the much bigger delta on registered sleds & revenue generated in each of the countries.
  18. Gotcha.....assumed it was a statement about what was in the link.....
  19. Recheck the link, more info there than what dealers and manufacturers would have.
  20. What a great link! Thank you
  21. I think most sledders are passionate about the sport, but understand certain criteria must be met to continue with some level of success, permits sold being one of them.
  22. Ya, that sucks spidy....but good on you for buying the pass!
  23. Unless you are in a club, I doubt that info will be shared....maybe a percentage will be stated. Too much scrutiny it seems.... I do recall an increased percentage being stated at some point through the season, but do not recall the number. Now just because sled sales are up, does not mean permits sales are.....should be, but you know all those people buying brand new sleds that are only running the lakes or there back 50......... LOL. Or perhaps many just stick with the QC trails and forgot the ON trails.....a very realistic scenario I am sure.
  24. $hitty news for sure, but I am sure one that is not surprising given the business and environment as of late. Wishing things make a change for the better and you can continue to offer the amenities required. Good luck!
