  1. I was wrong, snow is still falling, even picked up a bit and looks like the storm system has stalled somewhat.......10cm might not be far off what has fallen now. Will be good for Simcoe seeing as it was getting very thin on snow coverage.
  2. Just came across this a few minutes ago.... Seems outlandish, but I guess you never know.
  3. Slowed down a lot.....about 5cm fell pretty quick here in the Landing. System is over half by me, so 10cm is not likely. But the plows were sure to already get out and get those roads cleared....
  4. This is the reality and businesses doing things out of desperation. Could have all been avoided by simply allowing people to continue with life, with some rules in place to try and mitigate the possible risks.
  5. So the sporting world is starting to get some traction on this nonsense. I read about some small businesses opening up under a creative loop hole. Just read about church in Waterloo area defying the order - and a response from our government that shows me they are at a loss how to handle it at this point. I am really hoping this builds. More small businesses should start to sell drinks, snacks, etc.....allowing them to open for those needing essential stuff.
  6. Yep, coming down good right now....if this pace keeps ups, it will be more than 10cm though. Heading North, so that is good!
  7. Good, hate to say this, but just what is needed to counter the senseless decisions......lawsuits!
  8. Or, those "camps" that were built or were to be built by the government, can be used for just this, or expanded to do so. Move to one of these where you shall not leave and all will be brought to you - government will have full control of all that you do. In that article that was shared recently about a retired guy from the army that held a high position stated, the training for such as what we are going through was to place all those at risk in these isolation camps that were isolated from everyone else.....not lock up the world!
  9. I removed the ones I had on mine before I installed them......so I am thinking not well, but I do not recall if I tried to make them fit or removed them by default.
  10. LOL....ya I know.....I agree with you vs. the people on the other side of the fence who might actual think the numbers being a result of the trail shut down - too soon to make the connection between catching it, showing signs, deciding to get tested and than getting the results.
  11. I support you or those with similar mindsets to be 100% isolated from life until you feel it is safe to come outside. Amen.....and no need to justify or explain what you do or hide it, like so many feel right now, that I need to keep what I am doing a secret.... Just be responsible.....that I think more are than are not. It is HUMAN NATURE to enjoy the things we do & works so hard for, it is how we are wired (most of us).....take that away, and "Bell Let's Talk" will need a whole lot more support!
  12. Other than trying to carry on with life as much as we can, seeing this sort of thing brings a smile to my face Need to keep fueling the fight to put an end to the insanity. Protect & support those that need or want it and provide the tools to those that need to support the people that would like to be placed in a protective bubble.
  13. Too soon since the shut down to suggest the trail shut down is the cause.....but it will suit the agenda to suggest that of those on that side of the fence.....
  14. x3....this setup works great. There is a Kimpex version of a very similar muff that is around the same price. These muffs are not like the traditional ones. They stay upright either in use or not with a short cuff, not cumbersome at all, easy in and out. You only need a light pair of gloves, not big or bulky, the bigger glove would likely cause issues anyways.......on warm days, I am sure no gloves needed at all. You will find your hands to be too warm most of the times and ride with heater off for a while, switch it on to heat up again & then off, even on cold days - I know I do. I have Klim fusion gloves as well that I will usually carry as a back up, these are very good gloves, but do not match the muffs and thin gloves. Do not waste money on the magical pair of gloves that will fix your cold hands, try this and be done with it.
  15. Ya, I figured based on the LOL.....as was I, so I just added a " "
  16. Do not be giving no crazy ideas Normal year, no way you see any police after sun down......this year, would not be surprised!
  17. The places that I have seen built where this has become a discussion regarding f/t access, I am thinking money is not a concern, or at least should not be But I agree, getting your winter cottage road now maintained year round has a price tag associated with it and should not be a surprise. I know other cottage roads that are trails as well that get snow plowed I believe by the cottage association, so it can be used by both sleds and some vehicles.......happy compromise I am sure.
  18. Honestly, don’t know, but I’m sure if you put up enough of a stink, anything is possible. As a tax payer, I can see how some will have sense of entitlement.
  19. Only recall seeing one kid riding with an adult. Saw quite a few girlfriend/boyfriend or husband/wife combo's today though......which had me thinking about the females and the topic of having to go to the bathroom....
  20. Zero police today on or off the trail.
  21. No idea why an old picture I posted was attached.....forum going through some issues for sure.
  22. Yes, it was....brisk to start off, but just a great day to be on the trails. Talked to quite a few folks as well in various spots.
  23. Yes, this is true....as more cottages are built on land that was bought year ago and they want to access their place all year.
  24. Forgot, there was a car stuck on trail 065 at bear lake rd. couple of young guys looking for fishing spot, tried to turn around and no luck, they were good and stuck... tow truck on the way.
  25. Just shy of 100 miles earlier today. Left 9:30 and back to truck around 12:45. 061 D101b 065 And 074 Traffic was light for Sat, trails were mostly really good. Only one oh $hit moment when rider was wrong side over crest on corner.... Gloves worked well too!
