  1. Lake Huron for a quick spin, as sleds all put away.
  2. Day and season done. Amazing 262 Km of trails with my son today . best burger take out at elk lake eco Center.
  3. Wow just wow. Late start packing up and a little chilly. 80 km this am on A trail - saw two sleds other way
  4. We are heading home tomorrow aft. Won’t be riding closed trails. Going to ride to elk lake eco Center for take out lunch tomorrow is our plan.
  5. I’m one of the stupids then.... 255 km today with my 12 year old son - first time driving a full size machine. was 70 km breaking trail this am. absolutely beautiful. only contact with another individual than my son was to tell the front desk don’t bother cleaning the room just empty there garbage please (with my balaclava and helmet on while we headed out the door).
  6. Arrived in Kirkland earlier this evening. Going to ride with my son next two days then home. Have cooking stove for lunch on trail next two days. Guys down the hall have small bbq outside cooking up something. On way through north bay - every parking lot of every major store was 80-90% full, at 3pm on a Thursday.... Parking lot pretty full of trucks and trailers at the comfort inn and micro hotel down the street.will be lots out next couple of days I suspect.
  7. Heading up north for last two days of riding it appears. got my small camping stove and food packed up for trail side lunches . only people we should cont in contact with is check in at hotel and drive thru breakfast . rest of time outdoors riding with my son!
  8. I left this am ... nice to see some fresh snow - and more to come in the forecast I see! enjoy the trails and ride safe! hopefully heading back up to Kirkland lake this weekend with my 12 year old son for some riding. Honestly even though conditions may have improved on the river in NL, I don’t want to risk it or have son worried about open water (even if just standing water) 2 ft away form your skis (not that I would ever want /let him attempt to cross open water at his experience level).
  9. This is A trail off the river at New liskeard 3pm today (missed pic from the am today). Yesterday around 3pm it was fine/snow/ect - ran it no problem without second guessing. Between yesterday afternoon and 10:45am today it had been opened up and refrozen . No idea what happened , but when I crossed this am with the sled I was crossing my fingers. no idea how deep it is there? it was also -19 Celsius last night , but on our way back this afternoon some spots had a layer of moving/non frozen water on the river. Crazy.
  10. We are just at Elk Lake Eco Center for lunch - nice spot! trails were groomed last night from new liskeard and were very pleasant! the 850 apparently is much much colder than the GSX!
  11. Small 80 km loop from New Liskeard yesterday afternoon - picked up a used 900 ACE and wife's first time driving alone (she did awesome). Trails could do with some grooming!
  12. For sale a low mileage ski doo tundra 300 f. 730km, 29 hrs Tons of life left in it - spent most of its time towing kids around on toboggans and now little too small for trail riding . Has plastic wide ski skins, electric start, hand/thumb warmers, original track 16”x136”x1.25” , original suspension. no damage. RER reverse. I’ve had to change out the starter solenoid and the CDI (troublesome on this model). $4,500 OBO located Kincardine Ontario .
  13. Got out with my son on ofsc trails for the first time ever on his own (bought a 2 day trail pass) did a 142km loop from kincardine / port elgin / inland and back to kincardine. Lot’s of gravel, muddy fields, snow drifted in trails and some great wide open fields. will be looking for a bigger sled next year, as he burned over 20 l for the 142 km loop on the 300 tundra......
  14. Club Mekoos and la Bannik are about the only 2 closest spots south that I would consider 4/5 stars that we have stayed/eaten at in the past on sled .
