  1. Great so far. jeff mentioned four came in today unexpectingly. None were mine though .
  2. His was dec 15-31. Mine Jan 1-31.
  3. Sons VR1 picked up today from dealer - mine is still MIA (850 XCR)……”January” ship date, if that means anything. I may have to take his Up north for a couple of days next week, as he can’t get school time off!
  4. Well we ended up cancelling our trip up north . sons sled has just come in with no spindles , and mines jan sometime. ended up getting itchy, and with this Covid supplier delays / concerns picked up some new wheels today….. country corners had a crap load of Sherpas too!!! (160k each????)
  5. Two emails here One ship by dec 31, other Jan 1-31
  6. Got the treaded call/news from dealer today. vr1 650 137” shipping dec 16-31 . “Shipping” xcr 850 136” shipping Jan 1-31st. Fortunately my buddy who I sold our 850 and 900 Ace too, said we could have at least one sled available to borrow (rent) for the couple of days we want to be up north for those days (as not sure how much snow we will have around here in SW Ontario over New Years). for the second sled my dad had offered up my old 800 etec he has been riding - so we will have two sleds for sure and we are going riding !!!! if , by a miracle the vr1 shows up and available to pick up dec 30th we will ride that ! fingers crossed!
  7. Soooo planning way ahead. Was able to finally book a room at Westway for Dec 31-Jan 3rd. (They have always been full when we have previously tried booking) Hoping: 1. New Polaris sleds arrive on time 2. There are at least some trails opened and groomed! (they understood that we would have to cancel if sleds don’t show up. ) fingers crossed! let it snow, and Polaris keep those assembly lines going please!
  8. Would you not be better off buying a pair of good quality small jumper cables (for $80 less)? When have you ever had a battery fail to start and another sled or car near by (which 99% have batteries - unless mountain sleds, or older models) ? I would hate to carry it around worried about it being charged all the time….. unless cables can also be used for jump starting from another battery - which don’t appear they can???
  9. I’m “hopeful” after already a season of manufacturing “Covid” sleds - they will have figured it out for 2021/2022..... seems like the sea doos they maybe haven’t ? If sea doo’s are delayed til July /august , people won’t be too happy..... I have a low hrs 2018 300 rxt-x , and for a laugh, checked up on asking kijiji pricing.... crazy !!!! But if you need/want, people will pay a premium if supply low/demand high.
  10. I just hope they all come with shocks this year .....🤦‍♂️
  11. No one is forcing anyone to buy non essential play toys. Do you not agree pricing should be dictated by supply and demand? (I see travel trailers going for real cheap in 2-3 yrs, when we are back to “normal” and some return back to their normal ways that purchased large new models and get out of trailering with the family (and return to spending $’s on other forms of travel , ect). Should one refuse to pay an extremely low used price for these models due to the high inventory at dealers and a flooded used market - or would we be taking advantage of the situation?)
  12. Nice ride back from Kap - Except A trail out of SR. a least this am you could skip across - tonight was a solid 30km of standing doing 50-60km/hr max
  13. We did loop - from cochrane up, then down east side to smoothrock. great except A trail out of smoothrock to cochrane.. Note:the A trail for 30km out of smoothrock was even WORSE this evening.
  14. Man - boy can my 13 year old ride! home sweet and sound (well to the thrift lodge at least) - 560.0km for the day!
  15. Back in Kap at 4:45pm for early small dinner of wings at Chucks . 410 km thus far. my son, I think , had the 900 ACE to the bar for a fair bit of the 40 km coming in and out of Hearst on A trail. think we are going to break up ride back to cochrane for some great Quebec style poutine in smoothrock(also know as “no groomers” or “bumpy ride”.) the A trail to Hearst was great, I softened up my front , and with the extra traffic ride back was awesome.
  16. Made it to Hearst for fuel - 282 km. now time to turn around !!!
  17. Just stopped for a soup and coffee in kap - 150 km from cochrane. chilly start in the am. First 40 km perfect, next 60 to moonbeam hadn’t been groomed in a while..... stuck.... moonbeam to kap perfect - except for the OPP stop. All good.
  18. Stayed in New liskeard last night then continued trailering to cochrane this am. parked at Thrift lodge (staying next two nights) and headed out up to do the abitibi loop. on the trail 10am ish after filling up sleds, gas caddy and 2 extra empty 4l jugs of oil with hi test - as was really worried abilitbi camp would be packed , potentially run out of fuel , and wasn’t wanting to stop in today (As cochrane is packed...) First 40 km out of town was a little bumpy for cochrane - but flat white carpet mostly after that. ice road still at 100cm! Saw two groomers today. Dumped the 8l in at 85km mark in the 850. made it to the canyon - 145 km, NO WATER flowing ! fast boring (as no powder) hydroline run down to smooth rock - great late lunch at the restaurant (chicken wrap and poutine!) 230.2km to that point. The 900 ACE made it the entire way with one bar to spare on gauge. very bumpy A trail back to Cochrane. Was fast, as had to keep it 80-105km/hr to skip over the bumps. 300.2 km for the very short day. checked in really early this aft at Triftlodge. Unloaded truck, drove to get some beer, cleaned off tracks/adjusted suspension, locked up and covered by 5pm. early relaxing night tonight as plan is the head to Hearst and back tomorrow. I can’t stopping thinking about a blacked out XCR now thanks to UsedtoSkidoo!!!!
  19. Yep.... 650 Vr1 137” and either an 850 assault or 850 XCR 136” (if assault can’t fit in trailer....)
  20. Tc11, 127” deck with couple extra inches for ski tips at front. Should “fit” if clearance for body/windshield
  21. Agreed - but I think even with G4 hood being so far forward I think it would hit next before skis hit front (if I removed the medium shield) Hoping Polaris is not the same.
  22. Any fellow OC’rs going to be at cochrane thrift lodge south this weekend and riding a 2021 Polaris matryk platform ? im in need of some measurements to see if an assault will fit or not in my trailer. Length it will fit if the hood /windshield allows sled to go all the way to the front. my XS chassis can go all the way, but G4 (with more forward cockpit and higher stance) wont allow to park all the way in as windshield profile starts to hit.
  23. If possible , anyone riding cochrane tomorrow can they confirm if scratchers are needed or the little snow dusting Thursday/Friday will be enough to keep things cool? I have one on my machine , but none in the 900 Ace - but may be able to steal one off my fathers machine if needed. thanks in advance.
  24. you can’t miss us with our jackets ! Ha ha!
