  1. $160,000 is really small change for the length of Trail that they are designating. This isn’t going to accomplish anything positive that touring riders will really notice.
  2. I can certainly understand the stress that many dealers are subject to by their respective manufacturers, bank managers, staff and customers. I have heard of a few horror stories about dealers really being traumatized by the intense pressure they face daily.
  3. Is ‘Ned’ still .................?
  4. You are correct, even though they hang the Arctic Cat banner they don’t sell AC new sleds. Probably just as well, maybe they saw this coming.
  5. Anyone know whether Arnie’s Cat House on Highway 11 survived the purge. The Arctic Cat banner was there yesterday as I passed by.
  6. Thank you sledjunk, I stand corrected. That is quite reasonable to have various scenarios. Still unfortunate that the MTO Minister gets to decide when they have virtually no other responsibility with regards to organized snowmobiling.
  7. Are you sure of that, if so it is one hell of a poor way to run a business. Revenue needs to offset anticipated expenses which is difficult to do as grooming hours can be so variable. If if your Permit Sales decline that doesn’t equate to leaving a Permit prices as they were, it should be based upon a reasonable conservative budget.
  8. How did the AGM go? Turnout? Interest from Newbies?
  9. It seems no one is talking about planning their trip around Algonquin Park this year. Used to be a hot topic in previous years. I presume the issue is the trail issues in the Powassan - Astorville area.
  10. I find this assertion very hard to believe but time will tell if zoso is correct or not.
  11. Hopefully, OCers are not guilty of trespassing as noted in Facebook post below. The absolute biggest threat to organized snowmobiling. This was a repost by BSC from another OFSC Club.
  12. Exactly correct, this season with all of the changing weather and diminished riding time demands a quicker response by the Clubs and Districts providing prompt updates on trail status. This should not depend on one person working at a District that works only M-F with stat holidays off. Some Districts do update 7 days a week, others appear not to. In normal years this isn’t a major concern but this year it is and needs improvement.
  13. Please say hello to Brenda and Mike for us (Brian & Sally Baker)

We golfed there for many years as well as sledders there too and Mike was the MASC Club President when I was in North Bay.

Just heading out to Wilmot Arena to Pickup my grandson after hockey practice, enjoy your ride this weekend.

  14. In North Bay the new owners appear to have re-branded the Clarion Pinewood Park Resort to Ramada Pinewood Park Resort. mailto: stay@ramadapinewoodparkresort.ca
