  1. The original post that started this thread.
  2. OFSC own the groomers right? They should have a end of season inspection completed. No later than May 1st Any visible and/or known repairs required confirmed then - ( get quotes etc. ) Make decisions by June 30th on what to do and go from there Seems everything is left to the last minute and reactive rather than pro-active. could be, and likely wrong- but that's the optics
  3. Well, that’s on them. it should deter them from being stupid, nothing more.
  4. If the walls could talk............ https://doppleronline.ca/huntsville/sprucedalehotel/
  5. I get it - like I said, my experience is limited to what's around me and where I was riding. If I was in your shoes - my comments would likely be very different.
  6. I am not on the inside or at the table - but the optics of how things were handled up top last year were horrible. I can only speak to what was around me in plain sight, and as usual, our local club and those around it did an incredible job providing trails for us. If I never went on line or read - I would not really have known any better - it looked like business as usual and I certainly have nothing to complain about. Hoping things are being managed better at the upper level for this upcoming season.
  7. Appreciate it, the devil will be in the details. If the total is up - that's usually good, however they need to be up at the right price point to be truly good news, and only the OFSC have those #'s right now. On the bold, that's a positive sign - hoping this is the same across the province - i.e. all trails have been approved to be left alone for the upcoming season.
  8. It's all definetly dying. I was golfing with a buddy recently - he has an older 5.0 convertible with the motor all hopped up - asked if he had been out in it much - he said once - the price of gas has taken the fun out of driving it. We'll see how the sledding fares this coming winter with fuel prices having jumped quite a bit since last season. i know the days I went out - paying for 2 ( my son ) was expensive - and we have a free place to stay and fuel up and back
  9. Question for club members.: It's June 1st. Do the clubs have any update on: Total # of permits sold: Total $ of permit revenue: Total $ of grant/additional funding/revenue: Total $ of expenses: Balance?
  10. Good for reference. Theirs includes liability insurance does it not?
  11. Long gone.
  12. It is. We see the same thing in our line of business - face to face is still the #1 driver for having a happy client - the surveys support it.
  13. Sure is, we are fortunate to have it, otherwise it’s a bit of a hike through town and over another lake.
