  1. Went with Qualipieces Trek series. Not a great fit. Had to bend a lot of angle out of the studs to get them in the holes. Not happy I had to drill another hole in the ski either. I used to use an offset dual carbide they made a few years back. This seems like a revised version.
  2. I'm taking the set off my Mach Z, supposedly brand new but I haven't looked at them yet. They did a nice job of carving up my trailer floor...lol. You're welcome to them if they will work for you
  3. What is "Good" hockey stick going for these days? What do all the kids want? It's been 18 years since I paid $200 for the kid's stick.
  4. I'm with TD, wife's '22 Renegade 900 last year was $450, no collision.
  5. Oh, I'm hoping for better than 600 kms this year....lol I did a run down with the wife last night about my winter plans. I hope to visit my son in Alberta in Dec. I hope to get my first run with the sled in January where ever in Ontario has snow. Late February I hope to run a 3-4 day trip with her and a few days in Elliot Lake early March. She plans to go to Florida for the rest of Sept, then 3 weeks in Nov, back to Florida for all of Jan and half of Feb, come home and do a couple rides, back to Florida for April......lol
  6. Actually, 20 points on $100 would be $20. 25 points on $100 would be $25. The $2.50 isn't necessarily profit because other costs are going up around them which cut into that. I have kept my margins on product the same as always in my business but my profits are going down because fuel and wages have increased along with shipping, insurance and all the crap that keeps a business running. Just because there are more dollars in the rising costs doesn't mean you can cut your percentage of mark up. It will take time for all the bean counters to find the new percentage as all costs get factored in.
  7. Got a text an hour ago and he bought that '23 Adr 900 R. He sold his last sled in '08 or '09. Good to have a riding partner get back in the game.
  8. He wont change the shocks and to step up to a '24 X he'd be another $3000. He can get a 2024 Renegade Adrenalin 900 Ace for $16000 also but I told him its his last time to be a man. 80hp for $1600? Its a no brainer.
  9. Big sale at Country Corners. yep, save $1….lol Actually, my buddy that I mentioned earlier has called me 3 times this week. I guess Ski-Doo has some incentives on and he can pick up a left over 2023 Adrenaline 900 R for $17500 including freight and PDI. Seems reasonable to me considering what people are asking for used.
  10. I see plenty that have been for sale since March and they aren't moving the price. Some have raised their prices. My buddy gave up looking. He's going to wait until December and buy what ever is discounted the most on the dealers floor.
  11. Yep, Black and Gold is #1 followed by Red/White then Blue/white. IMO.
  12. Agree. No, for me its just the SRX versions. They stand out from the crowd.
  13. Cat used the Suzuki twin 1056 turbo until 2016. They sold the 1056 NA motor until 2017. 2017 was the first year for the 998 3 cylinder turbo Yamaha mill. The 1049 is the 3 cylinder NA Yamaha motor. Cat has been using that motor since 2014.
  14. One of my employees said he had picked up a chick that night and was driving her home when it happened. Possibly a bit distracted at the wheel. And I agree with the rest. I have no problem helping out my employees. I'll send them home with a truck when their vehicle is stuck in the shop or truck and trailer if they need it to move an item. My employees often borrow my tools and equipment for a weekend for home projects or to help a buddy. They pay me rent if they are using my stuff to make money.
  15. Not that I believe his issue with not coming to work has to do with the car but let's go with that. He lives 5 minutes from me, on a bus route. Worst case, he could catch an Uber for under $15 each way, work a 10 hour day and still have $200 per day to put towards his car repairs. He is not the only employee that has done this. I had a guy a couple years ago say he needed to take his car in to have work done so he needed the day off. I said "why not drop the car off and one of us will pick you up?" He said no because he liked to watch them do the work. I had another who hit a fire hydrant when he swerved to miss a cat. He took 4 days off while waiting for his car the be repaired.
  16. So the Aziz sends me a text message yesterday saying he’s having car trouble and that’s why he hasn’t come in. He sent me a picture of a flat and “I can’t get to work until I sort this out so I’m gone”. Then today he messages my wife and asks for a record of employment so he can go to the bank and get a loan to fix his car. I kid you not. I couldn’t make this stuff up. I think he’s on drugs or possibly he should be medicated. People like this make me nervous.
  17. Not me who pushes them, it’s the other employees. They don’t want to make up for another guys short comings. If the guy is going to quit then better to find out early. Exactly. We stress manual labour in the ads, must be able to lift 100lbs, must be able to work 10-12 hours days in the weather, push a wheelbarrow for 4 hours at a time, etc. It’s repeated in the interview. Still you get people who show up completely incapable of doing the job. Fat, old, short, or with no understanding of what hard work is, etc. My employee who was working with him for the day thought he was an ok worker. Ran out of gas around 3pm but he is in Ramadan fast right now so can’t eat or drink during the day. Had he of mentioned that I probably wouldn’t have hired him because there is no way he could make it here. My employee said it was a medium work day, not heavy but it was 11.5 hrs.
  18. Aziz worked Monday. No show today....lol
  19. All 3 showed for interviews. Aziz came a day late but he did let us know he had a flat tire. He starts tomorrow. Did not hire either of the other 2. We had another guy who scheduled an interview but didn’t show.
  20. I'm hiring right now. Ran a posting on Indeed. Got 50 responses. Sent requests for interviews to 20 candidates. Got 4 who agreed to an interview. The first was Tyler who never showed for his scheduled time. When messaged he said he had to help his grandfather, he'd get back when he had more time. I have interviews set up with Ali, Ravinder and Aziz tomorrow. I bet they all show and are excited to get the job.
