  2. We filled 2 classes within 2 weeks of posting the registration info on our FB page early Oct, our trainers only wanted to commit to 2 classes this season. We received another 27 requests for training through pm's on our FB page and over 20 phone calls inquiring about training, which we re-directed to other area clubs and online training. Only had 4 that said they would have their kid do the online training. The online training is 6 hours in front of the computer, with no way to speed it up, but it doesn't have to be done in one sitting. Good to see that parents that are in areas and have the ability to get their kids into a class are choosing that, and that another choice is there for those who can't. I was really worried that the online would be the demise of in class training, doesn't seem that way.
  3. Can you name these "old boys" you speak of ? There's only 4 Gov's of 16 currently sitting on the BOG that have been there more than 2 years, and only one person on the Exec more than 2 years. Out of those 5 two are women. As for office staff, we haven't seen it run in the unison it is now in over 10 years, less than half the staff of 14 have been there more than 5 years. You would know this if you were involved with a local club, or even just read the Go Mag and/or news letters the ofsc sends out. I think it'd be safe that pattern of turn over is the same for club exec due to generational attrition. The bashing of good dedicated volunteers and hard working staff never ends with you does it Slomo ? I think it's time you put your money where your keyboard and mouth are, and take on a leadership position, be club, district or provincial......
  4. Looks a bit more involved than just filling it, likely MNR and township permits, and possibly a new culvert along with shoring on both sides. I would imagine both clubs and the landowners needing the road allowance for access have been working on it since it happened in the spring. Hopefully it gets repaired soon.
  5. I went with a Swann 4 camera hard wired system, didn't want to deal with a battery system with the cold in winter. It was on sale for $299.00 at Best Buy last fall. Very easy instal and set up by running wires in crawl space and behind the board and batten and soffits, great picture day or night, can zoom in clearly on a lic plate from 60-80ft. The heat and motion detection function works great, sends a notification to my phone. https://www.swann.com/ca/swdvk-445804
  6. Give Brian at Cedar Springs and Rick at Pickering Motorsports a call. Tell them your a PPSC member and see what they can do you for you. Most of the Cat guys in the club deal with either or now that Rick has moved to Cat. They've been treated well.
