The ATV clubs have trail wardens with authority (theoretically) to stop an ATV, but sled club officials have no such authority? With the atv’s you can get a trail pass for a day or two days easily. Go into a local area usually a resort or general store and fill out form and away you go. I never got a sticker just a receipt. Can get them online too and print out receipt as well. They usually give you a map as well. Works out well. Never seen much patrolling just on hailburton rail trail once, they were stopping atv’s and looking for insurance and trail pass.
