When sledders catch up to you on the trails!

  1. 1. What do you do when a group of sledders catches up to you on the trail?

    • Do you pull over or slow down and wave them thru to pass you?
    • Do you wait till you get to a stop and then allow them to go ahead?
    • Do you make them stay behind you forever?

I hate pull up behind sleds as much as I hate sledders behind me

I pull over and let them pass :) I like to enjoy riding at my own pace ;)

Many years ago. We were out on the trails and I had a chain break. Left the sled in the nearest town and my cousin rode 2 up with his gf and I rode his sled. We had been on the trail for some time and came to a fence line. I slowed a little just to be cautious when all of a sudden there was a BRAAAAPPPPPP beside me! It took me a partial second to realize what was going on and I saw green ski skins at eye level. Then another and another! If I had realized I was holding up two Tcats and a Zr 9 I would have definitly pulled over (and yes I was to the right side). There were no mirrors on the sled I was on. We met them at the club house in Blyth and I said to the guys that I was sorry for holding them up. They erupted in laughter and said "so your the poor sob that we scared the sh#t out of !". I guess I had jumped and my eyes got really big when they went past.

Those were the days!

I love passing people with my right ski high in the air, lets them think I am totally out of control.

The way my sled it set up I can ride on one ski or the other for a LONG time.

if sombody faster comes up behind me I slow and let them pass.
