wisted
Can you still get from Northern Lights Ford to Steephill dam rd via Black Trout Lake?
Ox
Gordy would Shirely be able to answer on more current conditions, but we ran along the bloody road from the S side of the lake to the Ford dealer a few weeks ago. Is there a trail in there somewhere? Trail 7/3 shoud git you from Ford to the dam rd, but when we were running N up 3 we found a bridge that was out and was down and right back up aggin. Not snowmachine freindly at all. Not sure if they were fingerin' on filling the crick fulla' snow with the groomer or what? Gordy mentioned that they would be filling some holes back in there. ??? skidooboy
you can still get to steep hill dam road via black trout from NL's parking lot BUT, and it is a big BUT... not many people go that way any longer so you may, or will have to break trail in the ditch from the nl to the black trout. not an easy task when it isnt already broken in by other sleds packing it down. 4 of us a few years ago opened that trail up and it took us almost all day to pack the trail down wide enough for everyone to be able to ride it safely. we were stuck a million times with longtrack sleds, and had to brush our way through the boat launch to the road ect... not an easy get on and ride to the dam road (pun intended) type of deal. better to ride the trail from nl to the cut off for steep hill via the powerline trail (think it is trail 3). nice scenic fun trail too. wherever you go, ride safe. ski
wisted
Thanks for the responses, since we are traveling from the Kinniwabipines motel to Marathon, we will take the quicker route across Wawa lake instead. Thanks again
