Highway23
Just got back from a 3 day trip up in the Kearney,Ontario area! Our group we call our selfs The Niagara County Sno-Seekers! We started out on Thursday and headed down to Bracebridge via trails 80 series- D-D103B. Went for lunch at Kelseys and what fine food they have. Fueled up and headed back home which is on Fisher Lake in Kearney By D103B-37-D. Trails were in great shape!! On Friday we decided to try to go the Firehouse(OX Narrows). D-D101B to Dorset jump on 61 to Raven Lake down Lake St. Nora to The Narrows. Had lunch at the Firehouse and also their food was delicious!! Headed back the same way and did a little water skipping to boot. Trails on this trip were a b+. Some of lakes needed some more snow. On Saturday we got up to a fresh 12'' of the white gold! What a nice sight. to us a litlte longer to get ready because of some beverages the night before!!! The group wanted to try to up to Dunchurch but the trail C101 hadn't had a groomer on it for days. The Seguin and C103D were in great until about 10 am the traffic was pretty heavy. Tried to go toward Rosseau but trail C102 wasn't touched either. So we just went back to the 80 series trails and back to D and up to the house. Some of us went back out and played on the Almaguin trail system 300 series and they said they were in excellent shape and also seen a couple groomers out at 3pm. Great trip no major break downs and a total of 370 miles for the holiday. Not bad for 13 riders! Will be headed back up in week or so! Will post at that time! Trail is groomed thurs and sat nights. If there was a foot of new powder on it I could see how it would be beat up with just a few sleds through it. Scotty Mac
Hey! Scotty mac's blue Attak is in that picture parked right at the corner of the shelter!! We were a crew of about ten, most of us parked right in front of the washroom. Too funny! Glad you guys had a good ride. Scotty Mac
