Top D White River Red and Yellow

Like a number of OCers, we are doing a couples trip 'Big Loop' out of Cochrane (counter-clockwise) 1st week of March.  This time we planned a night in Dubreuilville, followed by a side trip to White River for lunch and down to  Wawa that night.  ITG looks like that might not be possible due to yellow and red trails.  Anybody done this or have any info?

Thanks,

whit

loggers have the D west tore up from about 20 miles west of dub, all the way to Hammer lake (fishing moose lodge). will be a difficult trip. Ski

Thanks Turbo Doo.  We'll just monitor the ITG and make our decision later.

We had plans on spending a few nights in Dub, and heading out to Marathon for the night, then back to Dub, but maybe not this season.  As skidooboy stated, the red section around hammer lake, is logging,  and closer to Marathon is powerline work, as stated from Marathons Facebook page.

there are many good day loops, riding to be had around dub. one of the favorites is: dub to hawk via the magpie, magpie to trail 6, to hawk junction for burgers at the big bear, hawk back to dub on the D trailside trip on the F trail to dog lake and ernies (call ahead, if you want food, or fuel). Quite the terrain change from White River to the old D109A intersection (M'wadge turnoff).

If TOP D is the same west of White Lake, there's is quite the climb for westbound riders. I know it was a steep downhill for us heading east.

If you get to ride out that way some time, have fun!

saw on FB, marathon sno kickers made it to Manitouwadge with the groomer. now we need people to use this trail to grow interest to expand grooming, and trail access. step in the right direction. thanks to ALL that made this possible.   Ski
