gobills
That's a big ride some of those trails are twisty but you can make time up on the rail trail. Which way you going clock wise or counter?
andreyboater
We have a ride on B trail through Algonquin a week ago and not to much snow there, trail goes under power line and was pretty bumpy, so may be better take B106E south from Airy. Just thoughts.
2up
I rode the B and E between Haliburton and whitney 2 weekends ago. They were both quite bumpy. The B between whitney and barrys bay was beautiful and the rail trail was great as well. With the snow forecasted those western trails may improve if they havent already. NiagaraKev
Was thinking of counter clockwise ... Reading above ...might change planes and head east ... Or hang a left at Airy .. Thanks for the input ...
grover_yyz
We rode the Barry's Bay area on this past Sunday and Monday. Trails in Barry's Bay (railbed) were groomed and in great shape. We took the E109 and overall a rough trail with good snow cover,This trail could use another grooming run. Trails were all snow covered with some icy patches. In Barry's Bay the Ash Grove where we stayed had nice rooms, good restaurant. They said there is a planned extensive renovation of the rooms this year. The main dining room was closed due to a fire but the restaurant in the back is open. SIde note: the trails to Egonville on the B101A was excellent. South on the E102 was a very rough trail to Opeongo Rd with poor sign-age. At one point on the trail we ended up at a farm house thinking it was the trail. We had to double back a km to find where we went wrong. South of Opeongo Rd the trail was excellent again all the way to Griffith. Griffith to Denbigh again became a rough trail. The rest of our trip back to Wilberforce was more of the same rough trails that could use more snow for grooming. Maybe this storm will put out and give us the snow we need.
