slomo
126.1 here sure am glad that the new gas station started a gas war If you're talking about the new Pioneer on Bowes St. in Parry Sound, they might be a cent less per liter than the Shell and Canadian Tire, but they have been consistent with each other and relative to the usual Parry Sound / rest of Ontario prices. Have been keeping track at: http://www.torontogasprices.com/GasPriceSearch.aspx (Starts with Toronto prices, however just enter the place you want to see in the search box) The Pioneer does offer bonus bucks which are used as cash against gas purchase as opposed to points. Also, just a short drive down Bowes and you avoid the tangle ups at Shell and Can Tire as crowds are less and lanes to pumps are more organized. (same non crowd situation at the Esso in Nobel if you want to avoid line ups - Nobel should have throught of this when the four lane construction took place) Usually the best gas prices in the region have been in Gravenhurst - almost 10 cents a liter less than Parry Sound - and worth carrying a few gas cans if you are on a trip that way. The addition of Pioneer has lowered our area gas prices in coparison to what they were . We now compare with other areas equally insted of 7-8 cents more

slomo
that is just crooked Not the only place unfortunately. Pioneer in Parry Sound led the charge to jump gas price to 1.33 from 1.22 from 1.19 in less than 6 hours today. Even more expensive than the Petrocan highway stop on 400 south. The Parry Sound gas cartel, never ones to shy away from the flimsiest of excuses to raise gas prices- must be on the threat that former Egytian President Mubarak is about to be released from prison. Back to Gravenhurst in the rolling gas can for this week's road trip I guess.
revrnd
I was thru Canarvon twice last week. The Esso was open on Mon' & Fri'. I see Jug City has signage saying they're now a Beer Store & LCBO outlet.
