For daily weather reports you can check out this site www.loringlsb.ca/blog .It is daily weekly usually before lunch.Noticed on to-days report links to Tornados formerly Rogersons lodges .We parked there last weekend $4.00/night,they also have gas meals and probably accommodations available. You can check there links and also lake trail is staked and there is a sign on lake in front of lodge.First winter in awhile it has been open.

Yes the sight it pretty good to get up to date info for that area . Though I think he may have been a little off when he said they got 6+ " on rain Tuesday night. Thats like 150mm. Some hurricanes don't get that much rain.

Thanks for the link.. We go to Tornado's every year for holidays (we park there and stay at a cottage on the river).. Great spot and awesome snowmobiling in the area (my favorite).. And Jake's Place Rock's!!!!! http://www.jakesrestaurant.ca

Roxie's Diner is good too. On trail, all day breakfast, good burger and specials. Licensed.

We went to Jakes last Sat. and conditions were fair and improved as we got closer to Port Loring. Took the lake trails north from Ardbeg. Carling trails are fair but lacking snow. Trails good around Ardbeg.

Wife and I are going to North Bay from Nobel this Fri. for the weekend.

Just had a quick look at the Argyle Riders web site - it looks like their Poker Run which was to have happened on February 2 must have been moved. From the web site:

The Argyle Riders Poker Run is Sat. Feb. 16 - check-in at 10 am at Lion's Den.

Must check-out by 4 pm. That is free family ride weekend on OFSC trails.

This was a great event last year and is a good tour of their trails - post from last year 2012.

Unfortunately we are booked somewhere else for this one, but if you're in the area here you go.
