Happymom1
TWO New restaurants in Kearney, Iron Skillet on Main street is nice, chef run, expensive but tasty. A take out place with a couple of tables, awesome breakfasts, some outdoor seating,. Another great place is Kearney Trailside Cookhouse, opened across from Fetterley's garage last summer to great local reviews. Formerly the location of the corner snack bar which was only open in summer, it has been transformed into a year round take out of excellent home made food, with take out tables on a heated wrapped deck, lots of sled parking at both restaurants. The trailside cookhouse always has full crock pots of home made chili, soup, pasta dishes etc. for sledders on the go as well as authentic poutine with real fresh cut fries and Quebec curds. Burgers are made fresh daily and they have 4 or 5 cheeses available cut off the block. The trailside prices are more "chip truck" pricing, not expensive at all. Both restaurants are striving for high quality food, no frozen crap at either restaurant. Nice to have these new restaurants in Kearney

You can check the Almaguin website, http://www.adsc-snow.org/ . They are pretty good at keeping up to date.

Happymom1
We just got this years new trail map but the new restaurants on not on the web site link put up yesterday. The Skillet used to be the Bristro on Main, new owners, usually only open til around 2 in the afternoon and the Corner snack bar is now the Trailside Cookhouse, awesome food, quick take out. They need to update the Almaguin website properly.

none
Four of us stopped in for a quick bite at the Iron Skillet Fri. Suds on Main was packed ! Good decision to go next door. Great food , not too expensive. Super frendly owners and a cozy set up. I'm not preaching here, but if the reason for not popping in here is cuz of no beer you're missing a nice spot.
