  1. Having a look at this for a possible trip this winter. Any advice on it (where to stay, trails to ride, etc.)? Never ridden New Brunswick, but it's getting a lot of good reviews. Just fishing for info if anyone has any advice they can share.
  2. District office is the easiest way to get it corrected. They can take it to head office.
  3. Batteries are just a pain. You forget to charge them, they die mid day, etc. It would be great if the cords we buy started to use this magnetic connector. I agree too many connections is not a great idea. That said tape the redundant ones up like the instructions say and I doubt you will have issues.
  4. Maybe inductive charging soon. I can't see bluetooth working. Lol
  5. Yeah. I'm thinking it would work for the cord connection on the Oxygen between your coat and your sled cable. Or any other heated shield cable.
  6. Found these. Cool new idea. https://www.connexionao.ca/#Welcome.H
  7. I don't see that being an issue. It has 2 ski's and a track. They will be registered as a motorised snow vehicle. From what I know you can permit almost any of the smaller sleds.
  8. Single cylinder 2 stroke???? Going backwards if you ask me. That's a perked up Yamaha Bravo. Nothing more. You can buy a 600 carb MXZ or even better is a 600 ACE renegade for the same or less money. Same horsepower or more and the 600 ace will be twice as good on fuel. Anyone who considers these new cats is nuts. You get wayyyy more from ski doo for the same coin.
  9. Yeah not sure. The one sled claim I have no complaints with. The second I certainly did. Being refused insurance was just a kick in the nuts. No notice from them when they paid the claims out. It was a complete surprise months after the claims were settled. Here I am with a new toy and had to scramble to get coverage in place. I'll continue to share my terrible experience with all that ask / listen.
  10. Yeah. Had 2 sleds stolen. One claim went smooth. The second was a fight. 4 months later I bought a replacement sled and called for insurance coverage only to be told they wouldn't insure me. They would not give me a reason why. Just flat out refused to cover me again. From my viewpoint I was punished by TD for being the victim that got robbed. Everything I did was above board and fair (civil and professional as well) in trying to resolve the claim and I didn't get what I should have for the one sled. I will continue to ensure everyone that speaks of TD hears how they treat their customers. Terrible company.
  11. Just don't have a claim. You will be disappointed afterwards if dealing with TD.
  12. They recommend it to limit liability. If you wore a balaclava and got cold you picked the wrong one . If you didn't wear one you should have.
  13. Wow. He didn't last long.
  14. The way things are shaping up (still early to say for sure) I'd say Duberville or Wawa are a good choice. Wawa Motor Inn or Relais Magpie Inn.
  15. Leave from Dorset - the sands golden lake - antlers king fisher lodge in deux riviers - edgewater park lodge north of kearney Can be done in either direction. Watch your fuel on the north end. There is a gas station that is off the beaten track you need to catch. Great trip mid week in early February
  16. Neat idea. I still think the superclamps are the best thing on the market. They let the sled suspension take half the hit. I've had ratchet straps jump off the sled when hitting a big bump. These I think would do the same thing
  17. I was curious too so I msd'g them. Below is the response I got back. "Lol we have been up for sale now going on 3 yrs thats too funny , yes we will be open year round no worries not going too far too soon"
  18. Pretty simple. As an operator you are required to - fuel the groomer - check the fluids (engine oil, antifreeze, hydraulic oil, etc.) and possibly top them up - fill a chainsaw with gasoline and bar oil All of these are hazardous substances controlled by a MSDS. I think there is a point where the training has gotten too onerous for volunteers to bother with. Not there yet, but probably getting close to it. Big thing is making as many of these classes have 3 or 5 year expiry dates vs 1 year. It's easier to sell if you know its once through abd then you are good for a few years. Unfortunately most of this is provincial legislation, not OFSC policy.
  19. This is nothing new for any club that has followed green book regulations. Just new that OFSC is pushing it. A good idea.
  20. Hotel Sacacomie if you have too much money and want to burn it up in a hurry.
  21. Are we suggesting that snowmobiliers who buy permits aren't the same people that trespass with their ATV in the summer. Truth is its largely the same group of people.
  22. I agree with the idea, but think a dumbed down version with a crappy base map and one that won't let your location show up on it would be a happy compromise to leave up for the offseason.
  23. Are the trails open yet? If not how come???
