  1. LOL, is that what the Doo repair manual explains how to fix the problem When Cat had the servo for there reverse system before the engine reverse was put into use, they had similar issues. I still tend to not use my reverse much, just an old habit I guess and find myself either grabbing a ski or the rear bumper to swing sled around.
  2. They had a manual actuated lever on the right side to engage reverse. I don’t have enough Doo exposure to state what 4 stroke models had this and which ones didn’t, now it’s an electronic push button, with potentially more issues I guess and why many rather it didn’t change.
  3. I had the opportunity to ride a 900T a couple of years ago for a little bit, which was my first time on one. At first it is very different from the traditional throttle that takes some adjustment, but than it was fine once that period had passed and no complaints. I think many people just like to complain and the guys on ST are expected to be super critical of things, that is really what there job is, so not surprised that it is a point on the con list, but again, if you ride it for any period, that different feeling or odd characteristics, goes away and becomes just normal. When I jumped back on my 2-stroke with a "normal throttle", I know that I did not have some great sense of relief.....but to each their own.
  4. Aaron will need to adjust his riding style A LOT if he wants to ride it like he is used to riding a sled.... LOL All joking aside, good on him for putting his kids first and doing this for a few years while they grow !
  5. Checking all the boxes for the said insurance claim......
  6. Coming soon along with 0% financing.....just like with cars. The sled manufactures are still catching up.
  7. I am sure there an many factors that come into play that affect your field of vision......how good your eyes are to begin with (mine are getting bad ), the speed in which you travel...... , and weather conditions. As much as I like to see at times what is behind me, my primary focus most of the time is what is in front of me!
  8. That is possible I suppose, I know for me I have always used the mirrors that goes on your wrist in the past to keep an eye on the following sled in our group and never had that happen, yet. I figured for the small price of the hand guard ones that Doo offers, I would try that instead. I am sure the the windshield mounted ones will be much better given the field of view to see more & from what others have shared - just a personal preference and whatever works for you is what really matters Is that open house spin the wheel thing you mention for all dealers or just your dealer? I like that promotion.....would be great to get 50% off the accessories I ordered!
  9. Anything is possible when you have the right "incentives".....
  10. I ordered same sled and going to see if the stock windshield and side deflectors suit my needs first before I change anything. ordered the hand guard mirrors, like UTSD, I’m not looking to see much, just if there is a trailing sled.... if the person that’s suppose to be there, is still there or if I’m holding someone else up.
  11. Talk about sucking the life out of new sled / toy ownership..... lol
  12. I thought it was now more of an incentive if you asked and not as advertised like it once was.
  13. I haven’t looked lately but dealers use to offer various prices for new vehicles, one was cash that was lowest price than financing at 0 that resulted in higher vehicle price......
  14. Just like financing a car....when will the sled manufactures offer 0% for 5 years like the auto manufactures do....
  15. Good for resale and peace of mind.
  16. I think if you took their special finance rate they offered, you lost a year warranty.....or if you took something else they were offering as well, you lost some warranty. Could be wrong, but there was for sure mention of losing warranty based on other incentives.
  17. I’ve never needed a spare key for my other sleds, so in my mind, why carry spare DESS. Now if they were known to malfunction, perhaps I’d consider, but I’m thinking it’s an odd situation when or if they fail
  18. Only for the winter......at the rate things are going in this province, thinking of a full time switch.....
  19. I only talked to three when I was checking around and all stated $500.00. Being that the money goes to Doo, you would think it would be same across the board.....unless some dealers are considered gold vs. silver or bronze from a rating stand point.
  20. Maybe you bought two sleds ...... $500 each..... When I paid my deposit, I was told the $500.00 goes directly to Ski-Doo and not the dealer, which makes sense should the dealer go under between Spring and Fall. Your spring check order gets reallocated to another dealer to complete the sale/hand off.....which I have been fortunate enough to go down that hole... Come to think of it, I do not think I have or heard of anyone that has paid more then $500.00.....but given the number of sleds pre-ordered and the large risk given our current environment, I am not surprised they are not asking for more.
  21. I would not be surprised either. I know financing toys is a risk, but life is short, so I also can understand why people would. With the price of the new units, the 20ish'k can be a big pill to swallow with no trade in......but many trade up, so now you are just paying for the difference, that can be much easier, considered to be part of the yearly cost to sled or dirt bike, etc....
