  1. Anything is possible when you have the right "incentives".....
  2. I ordered same sled and going to see if the stock windshield and side deflectors suit my needs first before I change anything. ordered the hand guard mirrors, like UTSD, I’m not looking to see much, just if there is a trailing sled.... if the person that’s suppose to be there, is still there or if I’m holding someone else up.
  3. Talk about sucking the life out of new sled / toy ownership..... lol
  4. I thought it was now more of an incentive if you asked and not as advertised like it once was.
  5. I haven’t looked lately but dealers use to offer various prices for new vehicles, one was cash that was lowest price than financing at 0 that resulted in higher vehicle price......
  6. Just like financing a car....when will the sled manufactures offer 0% for 5 years like the auto manufactures do....
  7. Good for resale and peace of mind.
  8. I think if you took their special finance rate they offered, you lost a year warranty.....or if you took something else they were offering as well, you lost some warranty. Could be wrong, but there was for sure mention of losing warranty based on other incentives.
  9. I’ve never needed a spare key for my other sleds, so in my mind, why carry spare DESS. Now if they were known to malfunction, perhaps I’d consider, but I’m thinking it’s an odd situation when or if they fail
  10. Only for the winter......at the rate things are going in this province, thinking of a full time switch.....
  11. I only talked to three when I was checking around and all stated $500.00. Being that the money goes to Doo, you would think it would be same across the board.....unless some dealers are considered gold vs. silver or bronze from a rating stand point.
  12. Maybe you bought two sleds ...... $500 each..... When I paid my deposit, I was told the $500.00 goes directly to Ski-Doo and not the dealer, which makes sense should the dealer go under between Spring and Fall. Your spring check order gets reallocated to another dealer to complete the sale/hand off.....which I have been fortunate enough to go down that hole... Come to think of it, I do not think I have or heard of anyone that has paid more then $500.00.....but given the number of sleds pre-ordered and the large risk given our current environment, I am not surprised they are not asking for more.
  13. I would not be surprised either. I know financing toys is a risk, but life is short, so I also can understand why people would. With the price of the new units, the 20ish'k can be a big pill to swallow with no trade in......but many trade up, so now you are just paying for the difference, that can be much easier, considered to be part of the yearly cost to sled or dirt bike, etc....
  14. Question was mentioned if I was taking the finance offer, said no, I’m paying outright, no finance.... and than the $500 deposit.
  15. So when order is placed, someone who is financing has not yet been validated as a person that is good for it?
  16. Yep, what a difference!
  17. That is what I recalled reading, POO was struggling and DOO did not seem to be.....and neither was CAT / YAMMICAT as I did not hear of delivery concerns, but as I am sure someone will state, their new sled numbers are soooo much lower I thought I recalled seeing or reading something that DOO tries to manufacture in house as much of their own parts that they can and that makes cents to do so.....not sure if POO is the same, but I would imagine they are. I am personally seeing more product shortages now than there was 8 or so months ago.
  18. From a business perspective, I can only imagine they want the product out the door and money in their bank as soon as they can. I’m guessing dealers may have little or no input on product deliveries, they come when they come. Hopefully no supply chain issues with what seems like a banner year.
  19. So no rhyme or reason really. Personally don’t want it in Aug and I can’t imagine the dealers do either.
  20. How does the delivery work for Doo? First order in means first product to arrive at dealer or other??
  21. I am but biased as I bought the same one, but nice pick! And seeing the numbers on the sleds bought from Doo dealers, I kind of wonder about the PDI as well, but it sounds like Doo gets there product to the dealers fairly early, that gives them time to get them all out the door before the snow flies and doing a good job (hopefully).
