  1. At the old outhouse I assume. Used to be a nice trail, but steep in some spots. No doubt we’ve crossed paths.
  2. I think the last time I was on 62 was when logging operation was going on, been a while and it was rough of course. Last few time I came across from that side years ago as well was through some short cuts across stocking and slipper when there use to also be a trail at the east end of Kawagama. 64 been in great shape the last few runs, but when isn’t it!
  3. You come across 62 from K, I assume so, is 62 in same shape as 64 (good)….I recall seeing an intersection or two off 64 that were not looking good, but that might have been 11 or 16?
  4. Both kids use them in their hand and feet, once they feel the need for them based on how cold the day is or their moods. Usually feet/boots first, than maybe hands. Actually it was only the last two rides this year the kids went on that they used them in their gloves, before it was strictly boots. And we also use them when we go skiing, so they come in handy often throughout the winter. Wife buys a big box of them from Costco that sit in the cupboard in the garage. You should consider them when the boy gets older and outside with you, it can really turn things around when they start to feel the cold. They put off some good heat and so easy to pack and carry with you......and snacks of course too are a must!
  5. As we were driving east on 117 and looking at the snow by the road and trail d103b, I was expecting things to be much worse than they were and figured it’d be a shorter ride than it was. As mentioned, maybe people are done - it’s been a roller coaster winter
  6. Saw some pictures of westway parking lot the other day and it looks like a parking lot a lot further south…..minimal snow, ice and pavement. Im sure trails are good though!
  7. Lol, well you sure wouldn’t cover as much ground in same period!
  8. Took the princess for a ride today. Trails from 830am until about noon were really good with some expected bad spots and roads were partial snow / scrape. Than the snow started to turn very mushy, corners were pushing for sure, some were on wrong side, but traffic was real light and some more rocks poking through. Trails were flat and nicely set up. Fuel at MTH and lunch was boiler room. Lakes are in great shape though, good for some high mph runs.
  9. Yes, we all do!! Otherwise, tight to the right, unless a clear line of sight!!
  10. For perspective, I wonder what the number would be for other years. New chassis and minimal inventory to offer. Maybe check with country corners and see what they are getting…aren’t they usually the dealer with preferred treatment?!?!
  11. Good for Cat - sounds like a success and this is even with not all sleds in the new chassis, correct? I would have expected mountain to be sold out first knowing most manufactures put all there R&D into that segment.
  12. Do not want to jinx anything, but things look okay for the next little bit weather wise. More sun will not help open areas but the bush should hold up good!
  13. Didn’t take you for a reckless rider….lol Glad all situations turned for the better, for you.
  14. Double edge sword - we talked about the prices being out of wack but then always looking for that "new" feature each year. Small improvements or refinements don't get the recognition, but most times just makes the product even better. I imagine a turbo on the S4, when it eventually comes, will be another huge step for POO.
  15. I am not 100% certain, but I have always read the Adr shocks were not rebuildable - but that might have changed last year as think about it and type this....who knows what the 2024's will offer. AFAIK, the Enduro big difference is the air shock in the rear skid. I put on the Elka stage 4 front shocks this year and in my opinion they made a huge difference in the front end of the sled from bump absorption to making adjustments on the fly based on trail conditions. Added bonus is with the dual rate springs, the front end is lowered as well that also helps in the handling. I would highly recommend these to anyone!
  16. I found that when you stop for breaks, etc.....the residual heat after a few minutes from the exchanger already starts to let the ice/slush release from the tunnel, I put my hand in and pull out what I can. I also will lift my rear end up and drop it a few times to release anything else, then reverse the sled so the chunks come out the back and then carry on. I have read about the spray as well, have not seriously considered that yet. Once I reach the lodging for the night, I will try and do the same (but will forget sometimes) and generally always spin my track the next morning before leaving and after sled is warmed up - I will pick up the rear and ask a buddy to run the throttle a few times after I pick the sled up and drop a few times as well.
  17. PLC is laying a back handed slap and saying you run slow…lol I remember running the ripsaw, thought it was great, than a cobra track and that was even better - the ripsaw II actually kind of looks like the cobra with the cupped paddles. I assume you must run studs with your track?
  18. Is it this one above what dealers say about track failures? Sorry, I just assumed that was your opinion/thoughts.
  19. Good question but I’m thinking most tread this topic lightly based on people’s experience that I’ve read regarding failures. Like all else, for every bad experience there are just as many good ones…..especially on the interwebs…..lol
  20. The tunnels do ice up pretty good depending riding conditions and on multiple day trips when you can’t thaw her out. I make an effort of keeping tunnel clear as best I can when we stop on trips. I’d like to think I’m also a rider who tries to be aware where or what I’m spinning my track on when in marginal conditions or roads, parking lots, etc….
  21. I didn’t do a price comparison but if that’s the difference, not worth the savings to go adrenaline….I just assumed it was more of a difference. The skid shocks seem good, it’s the front shocks that aren’t, on the X, imo. All are rebuildable on the X.
  22. I figured that was the reason. knock on wood, mine is good, inspect it frequently though due to others having similar experience. I think I have around 5500km.
  23. So what’s wrong with the 1.5”….it’s been a great track, maybe lose some top end, buts that okay…lol And I’d suggest adrenaline and than upgrade your shocks vs. the X.
  24. All the trails I rode that are considered part of the rap, aren’t bad. The usually bad sections of course, but to be expected with plenty of turns, up and downs that chew up any nicely groomed trail fast.
