Some Info on polaris snowmobiles 2015/2016??

Hey there fellow sledders!

I certainly hope everyone is enjoying their summer, as we are finally getting a good weather summer unlike the couple summers before. With this humid heat has me thinking of WINTER!

I have been thinking on getting a polaris and have come to the conclusion that I think a switchback 800 pro-x is the sled for me. The questions that I have for the polaris guys or gals on here is, is there much difference in the 2015 and 2016 pro-x models? What are the best dealerships to get them that will give me the very best LOW price on one as well as good service or offer a emergency services discount?? Im a cheap S.O.B so im thinking that getting a 2015 is my best bet in price if there isnt much difference in model years...

I appreciate any information that you can give me. Hoping to see more people from here this winter for good times :) Cheers.

Greetings,

I have ordered the same sled you are considering and there was a few changes made to the 16 Pro-x, new sway bar to reduce the tippiness in the corners and sounds like some tweaks were also made.. The challenge you will have is the Pro-X was a spring order model only so any dealer that has one will not be giving them away...

Let me know if you have any other questions or shoot me a message..

Thanks for the info Nunz. I figured that it was only a spring order model :(

Byers in Orlllia has a demo 15 they are selling and the Edge in Bradford is advertising a 16 pro x switch they have available...

Just an FYI.. Hope that helps

I might be getting the 2015 switchback pro s 60th anniversary edition as its going to be the best price for me as well I believe it will still be great off trail. Which I do primarily do 80% trail an about 20% off trail.

Thanks for the info Nunz, buyers has been great with me so far. Not set in stone about getting it yet but its looking good so far. I cant wait. :)

If the average rider does 20 percent off trail in southern Ontario, we won't have trails for much longer. Central Ontario can ride lakes so easy to get 20 to even 40 percent off trail. Some days I was 80 percent lakes 20 percent trail for 160 kms. Hopefully this year will be cold and good ice conditions.

Well looks like I will be getting that pro s 60th anniversary edition. Spoke to a few people that have them and they are really pleased as to its ability going off trail even with the 1.25 lug on it. I went an put some money down on it today and am just wating to hear back on the financing. If all goes well on that end GIDDY UP! :) .
