hey guys thursday we leave for the north...

How long (time) should we expect to take to ride from Matheson to Kapuskasing. I understand that it all depends on speed (yes I know there are speed limits) but realistically for those that have done this, how long?

Records from one of our past trips show the distance to be approx. 150 miles. It shows 7 hours, but there were many stops for fuel, snacks, stretches, photos etc.

Another trip shows us going from Kap to Cochrane in less than 4 hours. That included a breakfast stop @ Moonbeam as well as doing the "Nursery Loop". You could add another 2 hours to get from Cochrane to Matheson, so that would total 6 hours.

We are not racers, but we cruise right along where we can.

Was that before or after the TOP reroute north of Val Gagne?

You've got 2 choices, go thru Timmins & up TOP C to SRF, then west. Or go about halfway to Timmins then back east towards Iroquois Falls then up to Cochrane & west on TOP A.

Out plane to get there was the "longer route"

TOP A > A111C > L22 (since the A111c is closed due to landowner issue going into Timmins)

From Timmins take the TOP C > A106C into Cochrane

From Cochrane to Kap stright along the A.

On the way back from Kap (a little more wishful)

TOP A to the Canyon, loop the Canyon and follow the A all the way back to the Perry lake trail
