slomo Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 Several years ago we had a look at the place and would have stayed there except we decided to rent a house boat instead - get us closer to fishing areas. I can't think of anything bad we saw about the place at the time. I would think one thing in its favour would be its close proximity to the town of Temagami with gas, restaurants etc.-once the lake freezes. Not sure of how the trail system ties in. PISTON LAKE CRUISER Posted December 2, 2011 Share Posted December 2, 2011 Used it as a start finish location 7 years ago for a 7 day saddlebag trip. Rooms were great but with only outside entrance. Food was good. the dining room seemed like a big hall with not many people around as the temps were -30 to -40. I would stay there again if our plan worked out that way.
