700renegade Posted March 17, 2011 Share Posted March 17, 2011 I see as of today the whole trail is now shown as closed on the east side. I knew there was some construction in the middle. Is it truly closed, or can a person make that loop - say Monday when I'm in the area? A few miles of bad conditions is not a big deal for me if it's down to dirt. Canuck Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 Extreme Tours, the gas supplier at the top can advise re: whether gas is still available and why one side closed so soon (705-272-9606) The road base is a moss, not gravel, and many thought it would still be passable. lillabellelodge Posted March 18, 2011 Share Posted March 18, 2011 As far as we know a bridge is being taken out. Iam sure this will be rectified by next year and the trail will be back to normal.
