Reved Posted February 1, 2011 Share Posted February 1, 2011 Sent to the BEAST receiver listBEAST 305 Issues From Jim ( BEAST Pres ) -------------------------------------------- Can you please get this word out: Around 2:00 p.m. yesterday (Jan 30th), two snowmobiles were heading north on BEAST Trail 305 between the 6th and 7th Line of Beckwith when one snowmobile hit a Landowners Dog which was near the trail where he was working in the bush. The two sleds stopped and then they took off as soon as they seen that the landowner was also there and had shouted at them to stop. They fled the scene and he tried to follow them on his own machine but they quickly lost him. The dog is OK but the Landowner is not and he is threatening to close the trail for good as we have had a couple incidents on this property over the past 12 years. I need for people to get the word out that we simply want to talk to the people involved. The Landowner could only say that one machine was yellow and no description of what the other machine was. He would have been OK if they had stopped and spoke with him to make sure the dog was OK and fortunately it is. I have a couple of days to get back to him and I said I would do what I could to find out who this was. I am definitely facing a trail closure if someone doesn't step forward and deal with this.
