Yukon
Well it was just a matter of time an unforetunately we don't have much of a forecast to make it last . So on that note heres likely one of our last trail reports of the season from our trail boss 6milehi ! ("6milehi")All Baxter trails are now listed as limited. There is just too much rock and mud exposed and not near enough snow to send the groomer out. We will try to keep them this way for the weekend, but with temps in the 40's and high daytime sun light, it may be a stretch to keep them open at all. All Baxter Snow Riders trails are now listed as Limited. C-Trail- from Coldwater to B105 - Limited Trail 15 -Limited Trail 16 -Limited Trail 19 -Limited Please ride safely and expect the unexpected. 02Sled
Just like when someone passes away you need to go through a period of mourning. So to for the passing of a sled season. Give it two or three weekends... work on the honey do list and then start planning for next year! Check the trail maps... the internet and plan all the places to sled next winter. Where to start from, where to stop for fuel for you and the sled and where to spend the night. That should get you through until the fall snowmobile show in October when the serious planning kicks in.
Canuck
Good call, YC. We looked at the trails from the highway, and the Canadian Shield is not a pretty site (well, it is, but not when you want snow on it). Completely bare at the Hwy 400 underpass. Thanks for everything you did this winter.
