Nutter Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Good job by our prez Larry Glynn and club founder Bill Harper with filling in the blanks for writer Johnathan Van Bilson from Focus On Scugog Magazine. Don't forget folks .... local papers, local monthly mags, local TV and radio are dying for stuff like this. I make sure to send everything our club does to them, trail work, events, milestones of club members or even just invite them out for a ride. Most of the time they assign local writers which makes it easy, a few phone call interviews to club members and a few pic's e-mailed. Even when we write our own bi-weekly columns with local paper (Sledlines) they do a great job cleaning up what doesn't sound right, and make sure not to butcher what we write and stay with the context we've given them. Start getting the word about your clubs now folks ... If we the clubs don't give it to them, then they'll find their own stuff about snowmobiling to print, and unfortunatly it's usually the bad.
