Maple and Giddy Up's MEA V2.2

It was decided that the final planning day for the OC Ride for Kelly 2009 would take place at Giddy UP's on February 3rd. We knew there was much to do ... but first things first. After a 3+ hour drive from Cambridge (more snow ... :woot: ), I finally made it up there ... someone was itching to get out on the trails!

Couldn't wait to get out on the trails ... and they were in great shape!

Tabletop conditions!

Meeting up with the groomer ... can you believe he suggested we slow down?

More excellent conditions ...

Does it get any better than this?

Along the 'C' ...

This is the result of the ice storm back in November ... it's like someone took a machete and decided to lop of the tops of a few trees in Simcoe Forest ...

Crossing a bridge ... and no OC stickers! :wtf:

Evidence of monkeys everywhere! :o

Passed a horse farm and had to get some pictures ...

Will you guys pay attention and look at us so we can get a good shot? Look at me! Look at me!

Barrie-Feb09026.jpg

Okay ... fine. This is all you get ...

Put on about 100km ... all in all it was a great day and a great ride.

Wow...the gently rolling pastoral farmland trails of my dreams!

Thanks for posting!

Look forward to your overall assessment of the E tech. Maple...did you get the add on seat for your sled?

So far I love the sled (although I don't have a lot of miles on it yet this season ... ). It's great on fuel and handles great on the trails. Still looking for the 1+1 seat at a reasonable price ... I can almost buy a second sled for what BRP wants for the thing. But, I might just suck it up and put it on.

Great report and pics. Looks like an excellent ride!

Gee, the groomer operators didn't have to tell us to slow down! (And you talk about Moosifer) :poke: :poke:
