  1. Yup, gotta agree with this. They're laying it on pretty thick, re the French theme. Prolly some attempt to pi$$ in Doug Ford's face with all the francophone related funding cuts he's been hammering out lately. Fat bastard. I voted for him, only because he was the lesser of 2 evils, knowing that the NDP was a shoe-in up here no matter which way I voted anyways.
  2. "Develop" a world class trail along highway 11 ? Already have that covered.
  3. Here's a better photo of the clock that Nunz recieved on his birthday ... mine is the Doo version, he has the CannedHam one ... The neon lights are awesome ....
  4. Remote starter is my best friend .... lol !
  5. They nailed it.. LMAO Blake, that's funny as hell
  6. a 2019 map would be close enough ....
  7. You know that I would love to attend, but having traveled every weekend but 2 this summer and going to Ottawa again next weekend, I just don't have it in me. I need a bit of down time for myself. Have a great 5-oh Birthday party, you know that we all love you to death and I think of you every single day my friend.
  8. Attago Nunz !! Any thoughts on how much seat time you'll be giving up for the new responsibility ? I imagine early season startup will be a busy time ....
  9. Back home in time for supper at the inlaws. Car is emptied but the luggage is sitting in the entrance. Job for tonight.
  10. Nope. BC & Alberta bound. Mountain sleds get top priority at BRP.
  11. Saw 2 trailers full of them sitting behind a business around Kapuskasing last week. No pics either.
  12. It's a bit more involved than that. It has to do with the retaining plate that holds the high pressure lines onto the E-tec injector, those 2 connections, and the one at the ECM fuel hose, on the bottom. They came out with a temporary fix, but no parts available at end of season. I got a good blast of chit after giving my opinion on the topic when it came out, and you all know what happens when I give my opinion. So the temporary fix is out now, like it matters at this point ... the proper solution will come in July after they've researched all options and make a decision on what to do exactly. So if you get a recall notice, wait until September or October before getting all horny to bring your sled to the dealership.
  13. Were the massive lug mud tires really necessary for that ride, or are those guys just looking for a trail to wreck ?
  14. I could see that as an option if you want an air suspension sled for example, without all the other junk (so to speak). In a more typical situation you'd buy an Adrenaline instead of the Enduro, and add just what you wanted.
  15. Revrnd, the magenta still came out on a Freeride model, was ugly AF ... the girls all wanted one though. Would have sold tons of them if they were available in-season, several would have jumped ship from Cat to get one, but couldn't. Oh so I guess you guys mean RECOIL STARTERS too ??? smh ... cheap bastages ...
  16. I could have ridden the streets here all morning if I was rambunctious enough, but I'm not. I have enough to do these days. My last ride was with Evil, 14snow, IQTurbo, and their group when they were here for their last ride in mid March. Never got back out after that, life kept getting in the way. Besides, it was a perfect day, couldn't top it. The AquaMan incident the previous day was the story of the weekend...
  17. My brother has a nice flask. He had this etched onto it ... "To M*** G******, the greatest fisherman I ever met. Bob Izumi."
  18. It's a problem for me if you're not done riding, and I'm on the same trails at the same time as you. I just don't think it's right. We've (almost) all had our youthful silly moments of drinking then driving when we were younger, myself included. I remember a late afternoon/evening ride that a friend of mine and I went on from KL to Sesekinika Resort, had a bowl of chili and a beer. Just one. I very much disliked the feeling of riding a sled after having only one, I could feel I wasn't myself and didn't enjoy it a bit. I haven't had a drink before sledding since. I'll think nothing of having a couple of glasses of wine during/after supper, then driving 3 blocks to the house (after a 2 hour stay after supper), because the sensations aren't the same as on a sled. It's difficult to explain.
  19. That was pretty funny, but you're no fisherman.... keep your day job Blake ... Nunz already had a Yamaha turbo ordered this morning...
  20. Kill switch? Tether cord ? Sled shuts off after a mishap rather than buggering off down the lake or trail most likely rideable instead of broken... you get up and ride on instead of freezing in the bush because the sled is unrideable. Life saving.
  21. In your case I can see where an unexpected throttle opening could happen, stuff does happen. Someone at some point might have thought to crank the steering both ways and check throttle freeplay and throttle return when pressed, before returning the sled to the owner. (I do this regularly when working on anything that might remotely affect the throttle cable or throttle body). I check the throttle returns properly on my sled on Every ride, EVERY TIME. Stuff happens. Off trail sleds get a lot more snow into the engine bay, which often causes the throttle to stick momentarily. We had one with a 600 Backcountry last year that they rode deep snow all day, parked the sleds, then started it the next day. The BS story was, the girl was sitting on the machine, started the sled, it idled for several seconds, then took off WOT across the lake and stopped at the treeline, bending a couple of A-arms. Total crap, because it can't open by itself, and if it was started with the throttle frozen open, an e-tec will only idle, until the throttle returns to zero then is re-applied. Being that it's a mechanically operated throttle body, and not a Throttle-by-wire, we knew it was total crap. Should have seen the mountains of ice everywhere in that sled, including the airbox .... I took pics to cover our asses if they came at us with a law suit.
  22. This deal with people blaming the muffs or throttle response for accidents is pure crap. If you don't have total control of your machine AT ALL TIMES, then stay home. Tether cords, park brakes and kill switches are there for a reason. USE THEM, your life may depend on them.
  23. You're missing the selfie with the old man sitting outside his cabin....
