Well we are finally getting it in PS. I had to go to US on business and the wife called it. “You go away and we will get smashed” I guess I need to out of town more often. She is pissed lol
That is exactly what always happens here - I go away and wife has to deal with increased snow amounts......
Pretty much a given!

Snowcrest is working on trails as we speak
Thanks Nunz!
How do things look with the water or wet areas?

Reports suggest on a trail:
- A 51-year-old resident of the Greater Sudbury community of Dowling has died following a snowmobile crash Saturday on trail C111D about six kilometres from Cartier.
I am guessiong @soupkids may have more info being in his back yard.
Either way, it is unfortuenate and as stated, accidents happen, regardless of trail status, speed, etc......

I think we need a picture with the winter updates

Yep, I think for some it’s a mission or their job to just mess with ya.
An old one is I'm out of the country, I’ll take unseen and deposit money into your account….ill send a friend to come collect…..I used to wonder why in todays age people still put their stuff for sale by road with sign, but maybe that is the best way now a days - the old school way!

So gotta ask, is that to blow snow off trailer or the driveway…lol
I was thinking about the downed trees last night with the wind, snow and than mild temps….bad recipe!

Most big hype storms seem to be a bust ,most nice snowfalls arent even forecasted
Exactly - and why places like haliburton region with higher elevations usually fair better.....small amounts of snow fall each night that is not even forecasted.

I know it would be nice, but I do not even look at snow amounts south of Dorset typically, Gravenhurst as the season gets going or Kinmount with the railbed......could not imagine looking in my back yard or Kitchener or even Barrie for significant snow amounts to have any hopes for the season.

Thanks, don't sell much stuff and now I know why. Posted it on Marketplace and local Buy and Sell. After several days of responding to 'Is this Available?', answering the same stupid questions that are clearly covered in the ad, receiving messages at midnight and 4:30 am I have pulled the ads. This about sums it up
Selling anyting on some platforms is just not worth it, what a PITA.
Hopefully if you have on a few forums, it sells there with usually less hassles.

Yep realist! Did the snow amounts materialize 4 days ago? Absolutely not. Just going by TWN history of failure in reporting.
Ya know if there is a spot that did, those folks around there are tight lipped about it!

Calling for yes, so maybe 1/3 of that in reality after you take out the hype factor lol. At least its something!
Are you and Strong Farmer related by chance....lol

We are heading there on Sunday, I will post a report after our ride, Hopefully they get the snow in the forecast they are calling for.
1 hour ago, stonehaven said:I know Saturday is sold out for passes, may head out Sunday or at least hit some back trails if we get the snow they are calling for.
Would like to hear the updates for sure - it will be nice to scratch the itch maybe next week and the forest is a good spot for that while the OFSC trail system hopefully comes to life!

We were in Valin in March 2020 and saw 20 sleds in 4 days lol. It was awesome
Ya, we were there two years ago, generally it was pretty quiet with traffic, one section of trail closer to where there were homes, ski hill, etc....the trail was beat up, but that was it.

With only 100 sleds allowed per day and 350 km open trails it should be a lot fewer sleds then Mt Valin.
A friend from Quebec said there was 15,000 sleds in M t Valin area last weekend
That’s crazy about Valin, not surprised though given the situation..

Wow, that was quick.
There you go, fill your boots - some positives for a change!
I suggest midweek ride thiough......

Define "southern ontario" is my question......snow is only really good north of us....
Based on the forecast for a few locations, it seems to be greater amounts more south.
But, better than nothing anywhere!
