I went past the Moose Horn Lodge (Chapleau) a few days back.
The trail re-route and work to power lines has caused the road linking the Lodge with the trail to be cut to dirt, but I just went the other direction and all is good.
I can see issues if there is a melt, but for now the re-route is fantastic and uses the other road most of the way.
Chapleau area is all great riding.

The best dealer is the dealer that will jump through hoops to help you out and not just save you a couple of bucks, So far my experience with Peak in Barrie has been very positive.

The Polaris Snowcheck Program starts Feb 28th.

Agreed %100 on your first sentence.  Make a relationship, and establish that trust..

Mr @Turbo Doo was hoping I might let him have a Valentines Day present this year, but I better get my 2022 sled first.  Otherwise I am gifting myself a 2023 and hope it will arrive completed next year in time for the season...lol.

Guys if you are dreaming of a new sled listen to your wives and get them something first.  You will have better luck getting what you want then...just trying to help you out :)

We're ordering at least one, you know........:icon_steer:

Well despite what I have said in another post that I have had enough,  well my wife hasn't.

She ordered a xc 650 first of March last year ,her last email was maybe the end of March this year .

She received a text email and call Thursday at work from blacks corners in carlton place. No her sled was not in but someone backed out on a vr1 650 same colour same options plus more . Needless to say it came home Saturday with 30 miles Saturday and 115 Sunday.

Only problem is all I have got to do is back it off the trailer and pay for and put fuel in.

This is a fabulous sport. We all have our 'doubts' about it.  It's up to us riders to decide how snowmobiling progresses into the future.  We all need to do our part.

Only downside is you cant park in from of your room like you can at the Comfort Inn, but it is a newer more modern motel. Access is fine from either place. We found there was a limited selection in terms of food in Kirkland Lake last time we were there, maybe that has changed recently

Agreed about the sled parking. There's actually more food in town then you think.  We generally like to ask at the front desk for recommendations..

My wife and I are on our third season with the Oxygen helmets, and finally had enough of the constant problems with controllers and shields having to be replaced - we're at 4 controllers and 3 shields between our two helmets now. On top of that, we had many issues with the shield freezing up and then being unable to close it properly after stopping on the trail for a break.

I switched to a Mission in December, and my wife did the same in January, we are both very happy with the switch - the Oxygen is great when it works, but for us the number of failures and the frustrating issues with them freezing up on trail-side stops became too much.

My thoughts exactly.  We are thinking about trying the Missions for next season

Following, Im due for a new helmet. Still on the fence between Mission and the Oxygen.

Oxygen Helmets.  @Mrs Turbo Doo and Myself are finally happy with ours. We've had them for a few seasons now, but have replaced the cords and faceshields. If you bought one this season, the new part number faceshields are junk. Many people having issues with them. It's a great helmet otherwise.  Nothing compares to comfort, warmth and visibility.  But I highly recommend having a spare controller with you all the time, and have a dealer test your shield before purchasing.
