Viperules700
Do most of you wait for compression to drop before you rebuild a two stroke engine? Should you do it based on miles?
Wildbill
Compression is not always a good indicator. What is your sled that you are concerned about what is the mileage and maintenence are you having any symptoms that you are concerned about? Viperules700
Sled is a 2003 yahama viper 700 triple. Snowmobile runs well, never had issues with the engine. The engine has 17,000km on it. Snowmobile is well maintained. Just was thinking about rebuilding for safety sake.

We service a couple of these with higher milage than that
