78 Canam
I am considering a getting back into Snowmobiling, (at least on my farm) Someone at work has a 1994 Skidoo Safari Twin supposedly low KM , mint condition (picture looks mint) Asking $1650 Is this a deal or not ? I will just use to get to back forty at my farm and maybe a short trip into camp (few kms each way) in midwinter to check the place instead of walking or using ATV. Also can problem cold starts for a machine like this be expected if I have it parked at camp (wawa ) in minus 20 ? thoughts ? jake
Bryan XC700
Seems a little high to me, I'd check out the auto trader to confirm what other similar sleds are going for.
Faceman
Miles, Electric, reverse, track condition? What do you buy for $1500 these days...not much
GAS INC
That is not a good deal! You could get a better sled for that much money. If you like that sled I think $900 would be a fair offer.
berrypirate
depends on what you want. you could probably get a newer, higher CC, better riding sled, but is it what you want? old sleds like that; if in good shape hold a value and keep it. $1000-1500 is reasonable if its in real good shape. 78 Canam
Thanks for input guys, One more question........... I got details it only has 3100 kms, it has aircooled 377 twin engine, manual start. With that low mileage , what should be parts I should look closely at before offering him between $1200 and $1500 How long does a track last or will rubber go bad even though not worn ? Is track suspension likely to fail with only 3100 km , I am told it was rode easy .
