Izzy
Does anyone know of the ice conditions on Gull Lake in Gravenhurst? I'm not sure if the snowmobile bridge will be open to get across Hwy 11 or that part of the trail, so I would have to use the lake. I know it's been cold the last few nights so I'm not sure of the ice conditions. Would it be save even after our thaw? I'm planning to go up tomorrow to see how things are. Hmmm, should I bring the sled?? Izzy
14 snow
I am sure Gull lake is fine. I am have a cottage on Kahshe Lake and it is still fine. I would certainly use judgement but I doubt there are issues except the narrows and anywhere else water flows into the lake.
Izzy
14 snow, looks like you were right but I did decide to proceed with caution. Instead of taking the sled, I took the family up for a drive. Looks like the lake at least at Gull lake park was good, people zipping around on sleds and one guy on a birt bike. With the rest of the week being below zero and snow forecast for later this week I will try to get up next weekend and see what the 3rd Annual Easter Seals Snow-A-Rama on Saturday February 21, 2009 is all about! Does anyone have any details on the event. Izzy
