Gas in Bewdley & Apsley

Reading the Ganaraska S/C's newsletter today & it said that the gas station in Bewdley on Hwy. 28 has closed.

Closest gas is Enterprise Esso on 35/115 or @ Hiawatha on the north shore of Rice Lake.

Also, it doesn't appear that the Ultramar in Apsley will be open this winter. The Shell station in Apsley is open 7 days a week until 6 PM. They're closed on Christmas, Boxing & New Years days.

It also appears, Whites General Store (Oscars) will not be selling gas this winter. Hiway 28 Cardiff

I saw in the Bancroft Times recently that the Bow Lake Variety (Shell station south of Bancroft on Hwy. 28) has new owners.

Getting into Apsley can sometimes be a challenge, is that little trail that comes out beside the pharmacy still open?

We'll be working on it as soon as the creek freezes up. We were looking @ the ice situation on Sunday. The folks live in the brick bungalow on the east side of the street. I'll post here when we're running the trail over to E107.

Just don't be like some folks & follow our tracks across the road. They wind up in our back yard wondering why the trail ended.

They're good. I'm hoping they'll be up for a trip over to the Calabogie area.

There are two other gas stations not too far from Bewdley. Follow E108 east out of Bewdley and after about a 1/2 hour to 45 min of riding you will get to Northumberland Rd 18. There is a township or county works yard for storing sand etc on the other side of the road, just for a visual reference. Once you cross Northumberland Rd 18, follow the single track trail heading north along the side of 18, there is a gas station (NOT OPEN SUNDAYS) not to far up there.

There is also a gas station in Harwood although it's tough to find if you're not from the area. Also requires some road running.
