from Carnarvon to Kushog?

Recommended Posts

Lakes are very slushy right now!

You can run the road in behind the Esso..with no gas .. It bypasses the big hill in Carnarvon. Comes out further down 118. Then ditch bang up to Kushog Lake Rd. about a ten minute ride. There are lots of tracks to follow.

Are lakes slushy along stake lines too?

They're packed along the stake lines and not too bad but even along the stake lines there are some slushy spots. Fred got a bit wet today. :)

The sheer power and speed of the Doo mill...it was like an epic parting of the Red seas! The 1200 muscled through the water and the typhoon like wave washed up the shoreline..like a monsoon. Or a good sized splash anyways.....

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks for the info - was able to get there from the lower lakes (starting at Hwy 35 and Scotch Line) a couple weekends ago, wondering if will be able to do ride one last time this weekend (looks like some snow Friday night) - just depends on the ice conditions. :)

I wouldn't risk it now. Been warm for almost a week.
