slomo Posted January 5, 2013 Share Posted January 5, 2013 This motel pretty well has all a sledder needs: Located just south of Vars at a junction on the 417 east of Ottawa: Motel has plenty of parking, right next to gas station, sled trail out back leads directly to trail system, and you can check in at any time of the day (reservations recommended for this) So, as opposed to waiting until 3 pm to check in, you get there and get going at your convenience. Free wifi - ask for password. Attached restaurant opens at 6 am (7 am Sunday) and closes at 10 pm. Take out available for rooms. Rooms are clean, warm, plenty of hot water, and plenty of space for your sledding gear. They also have a small fridge and microwave so if you bring your own pre-prepared food and a coffee maker, you are up and away earlier in the day. I was a little skeptical of the place without a website as well, but it came recommended and was quite suitable.
