So is Perce really worth the stop / extra distanceto get down to it?  Or is it just another magnetic hill tourist stop?

I would say yes, great to see and get some nice pictures, there was no gas or anywhere to eat when we went through though.

This is the year. My brother is retiring and going south. One trip to Gaspe before beaches and shuffleboard. Looking for destinations and loops etc. If you did it right please share.

Pm me your email address and I will send you our trip files that Sledjunk made for us, it is very detailed.

That is where we first met!!! I miss the real life AGM. It was like a reward for the years volunteer hours and so great to chat in person with other club members.

Sure was, Hopefully we get to a point we can start having the convention again. It was a great weekend

  5. Last year when we stayed at the Advantage in Kap we did a morning ride and met up with Denis and Mel and ordered pizza when we were about half an hour away from Kap delivered to the motel had a nice lunch break in the rooms and then went out for an afternoon ride and Papa Franco's for dinner, Worked out perfectly and we will likely do the same thing this coming winter again. Breakfast is easy, toasted bagels or one of the guys takes a run to McDonalds and coffee.

Any updates on Halfway Haven? Last I saw they posted they were overwhelmed with the offers to help, but that has been months ago. It's killing me that that place might be closed, with the impact it would have on the trips we do, starting in the Sault or Searchmont. Felt like there was a lot of momentum gathering on the trails from the Sault and north/northwest (Wawa, Dubreville, White River, etc.). Would suck if covid wiped all that out.

Lot of people and businesses impacted if it isn't re-opened. If nothing else, for gas and for the groomers to stop.

I saw a post on Fb from some guys that do adventure rides on their bikes, I believe it was Pat D and the comment made was that it looked abandoned and the bears had been around and everything was locked up. Hopefully something can be done to save it.

Dubreuilville needs this. the d108a as we knew it, is a thing of the past. the club needs to make 60km of new trail, as the two roads the clubs have used in the past are no longer an option. both the Drey (Dree) rd, and the Simpson road, will be plowed, and connected to the new road, bridge across the big Kabi river, and used for truck traffic year round. those two roads are now forever off limits. the club has tried to get grants from the OFSC but, they have not been successful. even if health unit, and covid restrictions are relaxed, at this time, this side of "the big loop" now has approx 100 miles of a gap. 50 on Hornepayne's side, as now they have no reason to groom to the big Kabi, and the Dubreuilville end which is now defunct.

the club relied on these roads, and paid the price many times, and would never get a permanent trail in place to avoid the road issues that were here yearly. now they are in dire straits.

also, the new mines now want a second road access for "emergency use" and the D, F connector to Dog lake, Missanabbi, and Hawk Junction, Wawa trail is in serious jeopardy as well. there are some re-routes, and twinning of the road to past the mines but, there is a lot of road crossing, and mixed truck, car traffic to deal with until you get past the mine sites.

not trying to be a negative nelly, just posting the facts. some will not like what I have posted, or what I have to say. but, it is what it is. Ski

Wow I had no idea it was such a mess up north with the trails and logging roads. Yikes

  8. I know of a couple clubs in Muskoka that have applied, One of them is my home club Snowcrest, it is a great grassroots program and as others have mentioned every club should be applying in some way. Worst case you get passed over best case it is a bonus for the club. From what I understand of the program it is a 50/50 program where BRP will match up to $2500 for what the club is trying to do. I know in our case we would be using the monies towards upgrading our Signboards throughout our trail system which is something we have talked about but decided to hold off for a year. Kudos to BRP for coming up with this. Anytime a OEM comes up with something like this it is only good for the sport. Thank you to @Steve F6's Wife MJ for helping me out with my application a couple of weeks ago.

Rickwards in Kearney is the best dealer I have been to in Ontario. While on a sadlebag trip my new sleds brake lite quit working. We stopped by there Nad Mike the Owners Son came out and looked at it. He said he would take it into the shop and let me know what he found. The sled was brand new and waraanty work in Ontario is not honored on a US sled.he said I could pay for a new one and turn the bill into Polaris when I got home.I said ok.He looked and did not have one in stock as it was a new model.20 minutes later he returned riding my ,sled with the brake lite working! He said the original lite was burnt out and as they are 1 piece he had to replace the

the entire assembly.I asked him what my bill came to and he said nothing! He said he took a brand new lite off one of the showroom sleds to help me out. When ever our crew is in the area we always stop and buy something from them.Great Dealer! If you see this post Rickwards Family THANK YOU for the help!

Thanks for sharing, I’ve sent a pic of this to Mike as he’s a  friend of mine and great family dealership.

Hi Nunz, appreciate the reply and referral to Paul M.

Already inquired on that trailer above and it is sold pending pick up. Not a lot of inventory currently out there with the off-season, but may connect with someone looking to sell before the season kicks off.

I heard back from Paul and he has 9 others looking for the same trailer presently, I’ll keep my eyes open for you.

I was going to ask what is the criteria for this to happen.....

We all know Nunz is, but it is obvious that he is a little crazy over the Poo-Poo :)

From when I filled it my application a couple of years ago, you are really just telling them about yourself, sharing the social media sites you belong to and your passion for the sport and Polaris of course. I have met several of the Ambassadors and they are all great people with strong ties to the brand. I see other another OEM has followed suit. If you think about the brand ambassador idea is a marketing genius having people at the grassroots level promoting the brand, whether it is sleds, powersports, clothing, etc.
