@ecarnellare things that tough out your area? Was thinking of going to that area and up to Wiarton/Owen Sound. Over the wknd

Groomer is out doing the the B trail from Owen sound to Wiarton right now.

Still have enough snow to justify coming here for the weekend but I wouldn't expect perfect trails,

Don't know if it'll get much grooming around us, it's been pretty warm and sunny

You mean like they did with the Mustang Mach-E? Took the highly regarded muscle car name, put the rear hatch from the Escape on it and stuck an electric sewing machine motor on it..

    Lester's over on Supertrax are hinting @ a 180 H.P. 900 Turbo!

If true, that won't fit in the Mach line up. For the most part the Mach series had a completely different, bigger displacement engine.

It is  the flagship of speed for Ski Doo. Imagine Ford, taking the motor out of the Escape, and saying it is now a performance motor, massaging it a bit and putting it in a Mustang..

The 1000 sdi was at it's best 175 hp, in the mid 2000's, but that was pretty impressive, and with those two juice can pistons made great torque and HP, , and from experience great fuel mileage, given that 2 stroke.

I have not ridden a 900T, or some of my buddies that have massaged the Yamaha motor for 250 plus hp.

Maybe my love of the 1000 sdi Mach may be swayed.

Frig you BRP if you whore out the Mach brand....

Build something great, if you still understand that

  4. I've been waiting for doo to come up with a something that is inviting enough to go and buy new.

The renegade enduro turbo may be it.

I'd like to rent one for a weekend to see if it's a good fit.

I rode some different, cats, yamaha's and doo's for a couple weeks, doo's that had the fly by wire throttle.

Driving so many different machines daily,  it was quite unnerving and I never did get used to it.

Um, the 900T has been proven to be pumping out well more then advertised by Doo.  Its very very easy to make that thing a runner. Boost and fuel system.

Hurricane Performance,  Whalen Speed, Precision Efi, Turbo Dynamics,  Boost Engineering etc etc.

Be nice if it were done at the factory level for warranty reasons. Any mods and BRP will wash their hands of it.

Build a factory hyped up 900T, with warranty,  and i will be all over it. Unfortunately your right. That was posted last season also. The aftermarket has that all wrapped up anyways..

    I still have my 06 1000 sdi Z.

They'd need a new mill for it. A turbo 900 @160 ish hp would be like GM  putting a 4 cylinder in and introducing it as the new and improved Corvette....but I wouldn't put it past the S for brains at BRP.

  7. This is always happening.

Groomer allocation is based on a certain number of kilometers of trail, not by club etc.

We groom 4 different clubs trails.

If trails rarely if ever opens, there is still a groomer that is attached to it and is unavailable to do other, more used trails.

Although groomers are wholly owned and paid for by OFSC permit $$, you would not believe the temper tantrums that some clubs have when told they are losing a 5 year old,  like new groomer because it never moves.

  8. If that was on the rail trail, it's multi use. Many hikers, dog walkers etc.

It's the autobahn for snowmobiles on a weekend. Would have been packed full of sleds.

Snowmobilers can be jerks, don't slow down, move over etc.

Still, swinging a stick at somebody should result in that charge.

At 60 years old he should know better.

Having worked in the industry for over a decade I can tell you that the CBC is the VERY BEST news organization in the world after the BBC. You people and your phuckued conspiracy theories. And to quote Rebel News??.....:crazy_grn: Just keep blowing it out your asses boys if it keeps you going.

Now now, the CBC is, at the best of times a far left arm of the liberal elites.

Much of it pure rubbish we are forced to pay for.

To call them unbiased would be the same as thinking the Toronto Sun is unbiased.

I do like the British version though.

Hi everyone.  As a rider from the GTA it's pretty depressing to see many trails  open up. I totally understand the government restricting movement and the policy of the OFSC to ride in your own area. BUT is this really happening? We have no local trails here in our area. If the lockdown continues the OFSC should refund each permit holder who resides in the Gta the full amount of their permit.  Ive tried to get some info from them on this to no avail. I am reluctant to head north for the day but worry about the risk of potential fines. Has any body heard of people getting ticketed of turned back by local law enforcement? Its really difficult to watch public officials , NHL hockey players and the alike bend the rules and have special exemptions for travel with no reprecussions when an issue arises. We enjoy travellening north. We contribute to the local economies where we ride. I dont think coming up to ride for the day is a health risk if it's done following the guidelines.  Your thoughts are welcome. Thanks1

Don't feel slighted, locals can't ride either...and it's not their fault.

Ever since the rona, my township has told people to pick one home and stay there.

I'd feel worse if others weren't taking it up the hopper worse.

I do allot of work at the Beaver Valley ski club.

Private club, members only, still closed.

Gyms closed, except if you're headed to the olympics...which ain't gonna happen IMO.

There is no rhyme nor reason to some of the rules.

I suppoise tbhey could, but why would they do so?

We asked about. Highly unlikely because it is ultimately public property. We only were able to get limited results due to wetland and road destruction by 4x4's and ATV's. The atv clubs members destroy the trail and offer nothing in the way of money or equipment to fix it.

We start the season trying to fill 2 foot deep ruts. and mud holes.

    It's not right.

I am talking about roads used by the ofsc. You cannot have a trail on a road. You can groom an seasonal road, sign it and use it as a sled trail, however if a resident wanted to use it, or any other person for that matter, it is a road and can be used, even plowed and used by a car. The minister of natural resources does not have that mandate, it is the mandate of the minister of transportation.

If somebody plowed it, privately, would that make them liable for any accidents that happened from said plowing?

  13. Saw something today on FB (I don't do FB , the toxic Shole it is) that made me almost lose my shuff

Some arse mole thinks we shouldn't be grooming if we aren't open, claims we are only doing it for OFSC cash!! Can't say I know this person, but I'm certain they don't pound a single stake.

Makes me really want to head out in an hour or so to groom, seeing how appreciated it is.

I]m still waiting for this magical ofsc cash, I wouldn't want to know how much volunteering etc costs me every year.

    I hate people.

    What is the ticket for/charge?

They legally can't stop you for that purpose - so naturally, they will a simple document check as the reason, which is fine and a non-issue, but what is the actual charge?

If you are on the road, sled, atv anywhere in the province they do have the authority to stop you, demand paperwork etc. Can even demand a breath sample without cause. New law, passed recently.

With the emergency powers, they have the authority to lay charges.  I'm sure massive amounts of discretion will be used based on someone's attitude.

Whether they lead to a conviction is another matter.

Maybe they are being quiet on this matter so they don't burn any bridges for future funding/grants from the government.:wtf:

That and saying anything only brings more attention to it.

This has effected one health unit,.

Standing on the corner and whining like a kid, being told no in the grocery store would only cause us more hardship.

This is not yet a "First they came for the Communists" type scenario yet...

I'm in the same boat.  Chasing snow year after year, agree on the weather network as well. My son just started this year on the trail, and I was skeptical on a decent year already due to the circumstances were all in.  Then got a curve ball thrown at me and my riding is really limited this season.  Might be out too.

I lived in Milton (no snow)for 10 years and still snowmobiled. Except 1998, where I sledded down main street  Jan1, to drop my blockbuster VHS's back off...

Moved to the Orangeville area and it was at best hit and miss...still snowmobiled.

Moved to the Lake Huron snow belt and enjoyed a few years of holy crud I hope it stops snowing, and a few of please baby Jesus start the cold and snow.

I own many machines I still maintain, despite the fact I use them a few hours a year.

Keep your sleds, it's still cheaper than a boat. it'll pay off.

Buy some land, ride on your own property. Not the same but  you may get the fix.

My last boat, one I really liked got 20 hrs in 4 years. She got sold.

I miss that boat.....might make the same mistake again
