My back and knees wouldn't be in love today, but my ears would be with that sweet exhaust note

I have looked at a few and half ass considered picking one up to just run it in the garage, listen to it and sit in 2 stroke paradise.

I understood the FXR booth was where the Royal one usually is and it was manned only by FXR team members - no royal team member.

Seems to be conflicting info on that......not that it really matters in the grand scheme.

Deals on gear were to be had at the Royal sale in there stores only that same weekend - no tax plus 5% off (20% discount) ..... lol.

Some of the booths apparently only brought items for sale to the show that were just demo's - you bought at the show and the items were shipped to you afterwards for free.

Really makes sense for larger outfits, means carry less inventory with you but still attend, speak with clients and still sell some of your stuff......as long as you know your sizes if it is clothes related purchase.

    10% plus save the tax.

KLIM is very sticky about their MAP policies on CURRENT year clothing as well.    Once its a year old, all bets are off though.

    As they all should be.

Everyone needs to be kept in check and accountable - regardless of your buying power, they have other dealers to respect.

Stopped into the Barrie store on the way home on Saturday. Got new Baffin boots for 25% off.

    Im ok with that

My sister was in there saturday - got completely out fitted from head to toe - saved 10% plus the tax - it was worth it for her for sure.

Kehoe said Royal will be there this year with a predominantly FXR booth

it will be an FXR booth then.

My email from Royal says "Royal will not  be at the Toronto Show this year"

Well if it’s the manufacturers forcing Royal out how will they cover the costs and fees previously shouldered by Royal?

Dealers sell accessories.   Not the manufacturer.   Will more dealers now attend with booths?

Yes, but manufacturers also make accessories - just nobody buys them because they buy off-brand via Royal.

I 100% bet Royal have considered the costs and it is not worth it.

I’m hoping we don’t see an early cold snap/winter like conditions….it usually turns into a flop of a start to actual winter and riding late Jan….

Last year we had closed schools for all of January - and unfortunately closed trails too.

My son and I were so upset - the one time school and hockey were closed simultaneously and we couldn't even go sledding.

It was a piss off to say the least.

Ontario Snowmobile Trail Permit Fee Increase

Posted on 29 Sep 2022 | by OFSC

(Barrie, ON: September 29, 2022) – The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) is announcing a $5 permit fee increase for 2023 Seasonal and Classic Ontario Snowmobile Trail Permits. The increase does not apply to Multi-Day or Special Event Trail Permits. Permits and Permit Gift Cards sales commence online October 1, 2022.

Well below Canada’s current inflation rate of 7.0%, this modest permit fee increase ensures that trail riding will remain as affordable as possible for Ontario snowmobilers this season. At the same time, it also enables the Federation to keep pace with rising operational costs and allows us to make considerable investments in the groomers, trails, and infrastructure required to deliver Ontario’s premier winter tourism activity.

“The OFSC remains committed to providing the best snowmobiling experience possible and that means continued investments in all aspects of our operations,” said CEO Ryan Eickmeier. “We are confident that this is a fair and balanced approach, with additional revenue being invested directly on the snow. We look forward to seeing everyone enjoy the 30,000km+ of OFSC trails this winter, made possible by thousands of club volunteers.”

The fees for 2023 Ontario Snowmobile Trail Permits are:

    • Seasonal Permit
      • Purchased prior to November 2, 2022: $200
      • Purchased November 2, 2022 to December 1, 2022: $230
      • December 2, 2022 onwards: $280.
    • Classic Permit
      • Purchased prior to November 2, 2022: $160
      • Purchased November 2, 2022 to December 1, 20221: $160
      • December 2, 2022 onwards: $190
    • Special Event Permits
      • $45

The permit fee increase was endorsed by the OFSC membership and based on an approved business case submitted to the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. Ontario law requires a snowmobile entering an OFSC Prescribed Snowmobile Trail for recreational riding purposes to display a valid Ontario Snowmobile Trail Permit.

For questions to schedule a media interview with the OFSC please contact Andrew Walasek at awalasek@ofsc.on.ca or by phone at 705-739-7669 x251.

  9. Have a couple of ideas.

Hoping for snow between Christmas and New Years - so we can shake the rust off.

Last winter - my son had a hockey game in Zurich, Ontario - there was good snow and lots of trails around - arena was s drop spot, I see on his schedule - we are there in February again this year, so I have told him we'll take the sleds if the weather is good - play his game - then ride after - would be a new area - good area for him as a young rider - *( fields - in/out etc. )

Looking to do a small trip with him once hockey schedule allows it.

Other than that - a whole lot of sitting in the garage :)

Agree 100% - I am not sure if the 2023's have it either actually, maybe someone with inside scoop can confirm, like @scottyr with close connection with his dealer.

I have read that the 2023's have the missing shocks that the 2022's are still doing without, or at least the shocks that the 2022's were supposed to have.

How can there even really be an excuse at this point.

Come up with another plan or supplier?

    Hey now, be kind :)

All of my cats have got me home - even towed a few others (Cat, Doo & Poo) along the way....

I do not think I have towed a Yami yet though.....

I don't carry a strap with a high enough rating to tow a Yammi.

Talking to a fella who knows the owner, looking to make it an eatery of some sort. Like hoping for winning the lottery.

Well, thank goodness for the rest of us who need places to stop and eat there are people out there willing to take a chance and make something work and follow their dreams, otherwise we'd have nowhere to go.

Replacing a Chevy truck with identical "build & particulars", dealer's quote on a monthly lease payment was up 30% from 2yrs ago? Don't see this happening, back to purchasing.

Far as Rams with 5.7 Hemi's no thanks, owned 3 in the past all with the same  premature engine failure.

We got a quote to replace my wifes 2018 vehicle - the pricing is up quite a lot since then.

We're keeping it - 2018 with 61,000 km on it - we're going to keep our $ in our hands

Oh my, I thought if you don’t receive your 2022’s by a certain date, you don’t get your 2022.
Any idea what that drop dead date is, end of Aug/summer just around the corner?

We've never been told that directly - that said, I'm not sure - I just know when they were "supposed" to deliver and that it would be delayed beyond that.

    If we don't get them - at this point I don't care - we'll take 2023's then.
