dukedoo
How are the conditions holding up in Dunchurch area? We are thinking of heading up Friday night, but with the rain forcasted, will the trails be done? Just don't want to trailer up for slush running on the lakes. Have they recieved any new snow this week, or are the roads still bare?
smurfz
Whitestone Lodge reported -10 this morning with just enough snow to cool the sleds on the lake. Lakes are icy but the trails are smooth and have snow dust on them. All things considerd they are holding up well. Reports from Loring down are all good

Reports from Loring down are all good Arrived Waubamic at about 1:30 today Friday...lakes are water covered in spots with some snow patches surviving where they haven't been travelled on. Haven't been on trails, but those close to the roads in the open are pretty slick and brown. In areas where tree cover exists, snow has sublimated somewhat which might allow for lube/cooling. Road running will be rough. Many Parry Sound south trails are listed as limited.
