La Sarre – Motel Villa Mon Repos

Hardly what I would describe as a “motel”, it’s huge. The VMR is in downtown LaSarre right off of trail 396. It is well signed all the way.

Again, we had three rooms for the 7 of us and each were motel type units on the ground floor allowing us to park outside the room. Lock up is also available. There is nothing unique about a motel room but it is worthwhile to note that they are clean and well maintained as are the beds, furniture and bathroom. The dining room has an extensive menu for supper and we ate well; topping things off with Specialty Coffee prepared table-side with flaming liquers.

As part of the “snowmobiler package” there is a coupon for 20 bucks off supper and a coupon for 7 bucks off breakfast. A full breakfast was had the following morning. The coupons can cover both meals if you are selective; we went over on supper but could easily do a hot breakfast. Service in the restaurant and bar is attentive; check-in/check-out is a little clunky but not unusual at a hotel/motel.

This was a second trip to MVMR and if I return to La Sarre there will be a third.

The Motel Villa Mon Repos is just off trail 396 in downtown La Sarre with good signage to the facility. Gas is one block away. There are 73 rooms and the Restaruant/Bar is licenced. They have a heated sled lock-up, Spa, Hot Tub, Sauna.

In the 3 person room we paid $62.00 per person including the meal tickets.

In the 2 person rooms we paid $81.00 per person including the meal tickets.
