MXZMike
Hey guys.. Buddy an I are planning a mans trip this weekend I need to know if this is too ambitious. Starting in Gogama (early morning) and going North through Timmins and doing the Abitibi Canyon loop and driving into Smooth Rock for the night. Then Next Day back down to Gogama.. The first day would be about 400k or so, which is okay if most is wide open but can be a long day if its tight and twisty. I am not familiar with the area. So if you guys think its too much we could start out of Timmins which would cut about 80-100k form the loop. Thoughts? Any places to recommend to stay in Smooth Rock for Saturday night? Micar
I don't know about the section from Gogama to Timmins, but from Timmins to Cochrane is a a straight run as fast as you want to go. The short side from The Canyon to SRF is hammer down as well and can be done quickly.
Mark
Easy ride to timmins from gogama Just did it 2 weeks ago . Small section of logging road but we had snow the night before so it was good .we left by 10 am and made to the ski hill by noon.
FishHog
Most of that isn't slow riding. I've done it easily if you like putting those kinds of miles on you won't regret it.
