Hi folks:

The racer registration for the Listowel race in Conjunction with the COSDRA Snow Belt Challenge is now open, February 16/17, 2013

I made a few revisions to the rules so please look them over before registering. The classes are similar to our main race but a shorter list.

Once again there is no track fee or entry fee for the Kids 120 class or the Youth classes.

Please make sure to understand that spaces are limited and 1st come 1st served basis. Once we reach our maximum registration as listed, registration will be closed. There is no registration on race day, pre-registration only.

Here are the entry limits:

Kids and youth classes, no limits on registration.

Adult classes 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 – 20 sleds maximum

Enduro class – 10 sleds maximum. No track fee is sled runs in this class only.

There is also no track fee for the single cylinder Enduro class IF the sled is only run in that class. This class is limited to 10 sleds maximum and it will be one race 10 laps, 10 sleds, winner take all. We will set the entry fee at $10 for this class, same as others. With a full class that would make a payout of $100 for the winner.

Our 120 class is now and will always be an exhibition class. All participants will get the same award regardless of when they cross the finish line. Many kids with 120s never get a chance to ride their sleds anywhere except their back yards. This is their opportunity to do just that and the focus is for them to have fun.

We want to encourage kids with 120s that are not stock to consider jumping up into the Junior Youth class. We did not run the Jr class in Tiverton as we only had one entry. This would be a competitive class for the 120s that are not stock and has trophies for 1st thru 3rd place.

One of our biggest problems we had in Tiverton was seeing sled numbers. If we can’t see your number, we cannot announce the race properly and we may not be able to properly score the finish line either.

I changed the sled number requirement to a minimum of 6” to 8” high on each side of the sled. You don’t need to replace what you have but the easiest way to be seen is simply take a sheet of paper and print your numbers on it and tape it to the side of the hood.

It’s just for a couple of days so it doesn’t have to last forever.

As always, the races are weather and snow condition dependent. I will keep everyone posted as the race gets closer and we know what the conditions are.

Thanks!

Would this be held at the Listowel Fairgrounds?

Hi:

Yes, it is at the fairgrounds as always.

We are getting full for the Grand Prix registrations but always lots of room for sleds to drag race.

COSDRA takes registrations on race day but we do pre-registration only.

Late model and Vintage drag classes provided by COSDRA.
