Why would you want newer sled to ride once a year, make more sense to keep what you have. How many km on your 900 ace . That motor will run forever

Just want a second one looking for a two stroke this time.  Keeping ace too, won't sell it, it is mint.  Then I have a spare sled for a buddy to use and can get back up north if I can't find anyone else to ride with. Be easier to keep up with some of more aggressive riders on here too. Almost everyone  bails on me when they find out I ride a 2017 900 ace 😆
6500 km's on it. Half of that was in northern Ontario. Did big loop once too, in 2018 😎

It is same sled I zoomed into license plate and read numbers.  Wierd thing is guage on cheaper one shows 7000 ish km's and he states on this one it's only 2200 ish km's. Not sure what game he is playing. Hook and switch to get people to come in.

I see a lot of people still asking silly prices. Some have been for sale since last spring. The guy with the Doo 850 turbo in Guelph has had it listed since the fall. Looks like it never turned the track.

But I've seen a couple dealers blowing out used. Tri-City Cycle listed a '22 Polaris 850 with 7500 kms for $9900 last week.

Nice did that one have 7s display.

This year cannot be a good one for the ski resorts in the books - break even or a loss I would have to assume.

I do not see how the base on the hills is not going to survive the next few days/week.

Only advantage they have is that man made snow is really dense. It takes allot longer to melt it.
Be nice if we had a way to make snow more dense too, so it would be harder to melt.

LOL on the ON permit holders and "credit".....these just might be folks exiting the sport.

Did not get 1KM in ON this year - oh well.

I got one day and around 250 km's that's it. Better then my zero last year. 😎

I just received the bail out email from my buddy. My Wife(she who must be obayed) says I can't go alone. Will somebody heading north in the next 2 days allow me to tell her that I'm riding with them, in case she wants 'proof' that I am not riding alone? The ruse is more important than actual riding partners, but I would try to ride with another group, if available. I am neither fast, nor slow, and neither a party animal or a wall flower. I feel the season slipping away.

Sorry can't go now but would be nterested in next year if you need someone.
My off time varies get a month every 9 weeks basically.  Good luck

Need a technilogical disruption in snowmaking to bring the cost and effort of it down.  It still get cold here lots.  Its finding a way to weather the swings that needs to happen.  Local ski hills are still open today.

It's very hard to make snow. Hailburton forest tried it years ago. Now they just push it from bush as needed they told me.

Its apples and oranges, Ontario is not Quebec and can't be Quebec.

We have to deal with what Ontario has -and find better ways to deal with what Ontario has.

Yes and we don't get same weather as Quebec either. In a normal winter Ontario is nice. Hopefully winters return before everyone gives up on sledding here at home 🙏

Lets be honest, you would have to be on crack to buy a sled today.

Prices are only going to fall on them from now until next season.

Just two bad winters in a row. If weather keeps going like this we have more concerning things to worry about then sled prices.  Wait and see what happens next year. Maybe in a few years ofsc won't exist 🤷🏽‍♂️. Permit sales are going to dry right up next year I think.

  13. I  put it on a stand and see if you can pin point where noise is coming from.  I agree with ski it is low miles though too. Could be jackshaft bearing too those can go bad early as well. Get it fixed before any real damage is done or you have to walk 😎. Good luck.

Nope, the wife ran in to it with her sled. She said she got her lefts and rights mixed up. She meant to grab the brakes but she grabbed the gas by accident. She came in on an angle. Her spindle hit the roller, then the lower plastic and stopped at the tierod.

    Ekkkkkeeeee.
I guess you always drive truck and trailer 🙃
Had a buddy once was star gazing while following me.
Didn't realize I had stopped and banged right into me. Lucky my sled was higher then his,  so crushed his hood and pipes in real good. Mine just had a smashed light, and bent bumper.
Now I never ride a sled without mirrors  to keep an eye on things. 😎

    Oh, I agree.

I have a friend who was loading his XP on to a tilt trailer. The carbide caught the edge and sled stopped dead. He said the spindle moved back over an inch. He tied the sled down and pulled it back as close as he could get and rode it.

Trust me. This was all going on in my head when it happened.

This is why I use ski boots to load my sled into trailer. Seen major damage from rail way tracks too. Dual tracker ones catch worse then stock ones too.

Yep.   Changing plugs on an 850 ETEC is a PITA, but they very rarely foul and if they do its generally on sleds that are 3+ years old and on the original plugs.    My dealer recommends doing them after the 2nd season.

The plugs are pretty easy to do if you pull off the secondary clutch so you have more access.

Good for 10,000 km's or 3 years for sure. Never fouled one on my etec either. Changed about 8,000 kms, since it was close to 5 years old. I was told to always let them run up to temperature and let them shut off on thier own. Quick starts and stops can screw them up for sure.
your selling yours again anyways 😎. Next
