    $17500 is no deal for a 22 XCR850, let alone a 650.

22 MXZ850XRS' are lucky to get $14-14500 today.     My buddy just sold his 22 900XRS for $14500.   It needed a track but he included a brand new take off Ripsaw (not installed).

It's a 2023 xcr 650 with 7s, Polaris 2 up seat, studs, and a few other goodies. Warranty until 2026 too. Has 125 km's or so on it.

It’s in the classifieds here and it’s on Kijiji

Gotcha. Not much is selling unless you want to chop price by another 30 percent.

That guy that has xcr I have been watching has knocked off 2000 and still not selling. He wants 17500 now.  Afraid to buy a new one now, with this crazy market.

The pool of people willing to drop 20 plus k on something that can be used so little is getting smaller by the day.

tag on the costs of having to now chase snow all over the place, and it will only get worse.

any dealer still doing sleds is doing it out of passion, they aren’t making money.

Sucks having something you can’t count on using. Had a boat before.
Kept it at wild wood reservioir in st Mary’s. Then reservioir would sometimes go dry in July and that be end of boating season there too. Cleaning all alagae off gel coat sucks too.
Our waters aren’t clean in southern Ontario. Boat was more work then sleds for amount I used it too. Maybe new aluminium’s would be easier to pressure wash stuff off. I seen wild bill using some type of acid at his shop to get crap off bottom of boats.
Sled can usually blast it thru some powder at end of season and it cleans itself 😎. Not much work involved.
I remember a bad winter in 1995 and 1999 ring a bell too. Only got a few weekends in. Even got a thunder storm in north bay around that time too and it poured so much trails closed over night. That was it for sesson in middle of Feb. I am use to this with sleds. Just seems it’s been 2020 and 2021 was last good season we had. Since then it’s been crappy no doubt.

What were the early season permit sales like?  Anyone have any intel?

I bought my permit on last day before first price increase nov 1.

I covered up one digit and someone stated they started at 5000 this year. Will be some sitting on gift cards yet too, that won’t be counted yet in permit numbers until they redeem for a permit. 61000 seasonal sold before deadline if they do indeed go in order. I don’t have a classic to compare too, maybe someone can help us out and see if they start with a different letter. Should be a different series imagine.,

We unfortunately wrecked a sled into a tree last winter.  Insurance paid me out.

Could buy same sled, with 8000 less KMS on it last week for 2 grand less than insurance gave me in February

    Why we. 😆

older ones are harder to steer anyways.
Time for a newer Polaris into pig stable 😎
I am sure we get some snow. 🙏

As I see it  sled prices are falling of a cliff especially 2022- 24 I guess the lack of snow ,poor interest rates on new and used and inflation in what you need are combining to push sled prices down like pre covvvvvid what are you guys seeing?

I have been following a 2023 xcr 650. It has 125 ish km’s on it. He has dropped price 3 times and still has it. If it wasn’t such a far drive would be in my garage already. Hoping he still has it in January 😎

I see on the news tonight the liberals want 100% of new vehicle sales to be electric by 2035

we are in need of a government change !

Yup  that’s ok. Can’t wait until everyone plugs these in and programs to charge at 7:01 pm to take advantage of cheap power 😆.  Lights out trudope 😆

Eva have stalled. 100s sitting on lots that aren’t selling.

Depends what you are after. I went to inquire on a rav 4 plug in hybred. Plug it in , charge it up and when battery dies, it drives like a normal car. Wait list was 4 years long the guy, didn’t want to even bother putting any more names on list 😆. Maybe Toyota will ramp up production to meet demand 🤷🏽‍♂️

Went to Orillia yesterday, saw a high of $1.42 down to $1.31 along the way. Seems most are now around the $1.32 for Regular.

By next summer it be 1.80 a litre. I figutre we see two bucks in next few years on gas. Then everyone will run and buy ev’s. Many ev manufeactures have a wait list now 😆. Some are up to 4 years long I was told. I asked if I could put my name on that list too and they said no lol.

  11. It’s only December 17th. Winter don’t start until January 21 usually and ends on Friday before family day weekend 😆.
Been watching some nice used sleds, i get  them real cheap if weather continues 🤦‍♂️

What is unfortunate is it will just force us to have to got the facility market now and pay through the nose for our child to enjoy the trails.

    Insurance companies!

That’s what I mean. They are descrimating by age.  Td wouldn’t take my four wheeler years ago. They said farming use is commercial they don’t insure that.
My broker gave me pretty good coverage.Everytime I mention snowmobiles his eyes roll 🤪. He don’t want sleds either it seems. Says he can get it but rates aren’t best that’s for sure. under writers won’t like sleds it seems.
Hopefully you can find insurance for your son 😎

Just an fyi to those with kids under 16 and/or without a drivers licence.

TD just informed us they will no longer insure kids with Operator Permits - no G licence - no insurance with TD.

That blows time to have a seperate snowmobile license for all now.
Operators permit has many restricstions anyways. No road riding is one, so how does an young operator stay legal with that rule and follow to road sections that exist all over trail system today?

South will have a green Christmas for sure. Maybe New Years as well. Sad.

Hope it goes better up your way Soup.

Yup and no sign of Jack Frost. January we always seem to get a big thaw too. Third week of January will be golfing weather for a few days 😳
My uncle still has 10” of snow at his place so some area’s are holding 😎

Those EB 97 XC700s were crazy fast.     The 98 full productions worked really good but the 97 would smoke them.

Great sleds but those formula 3 from skidoo, with tripple pipes had some serious pull too.
