I know the whole liability issue is a hot topic right now. Whether it’s insurance liability on trails or liability as a club/district director or officer, it’s all related.
just out of curiosity has there ever been an instance were someone has been held personally liable for fines/settlements as a result of their acting in their capacity for a club or district?
Not sure about Snowmobile clubs, but another hobby I am in, it did happen and the executive members of the club had to pay $1,100.00 each + what the club covered for someone who tried to sue. (9k? in that range cost to the club)
We now have what is called "directors and officers" insurance, i think it is an extra $125.00/yr for that coverage to protect club executives.

I spent 4 hrs clearing out a small trail between wahnapitae and my road. Soup is spot on, the amount of trees down is overwhelming. The local club was concentrating on d trail rail bed, I decided to do a side trail. The trails out by kukagami are going to b a mess for sure. Some random pics of the 3km or so i cleared on Saturday. Lots more work to do. Pictures don't do it justice, I must say, I got more than I bargained for, I was expecting 2-3 trees, think there was 7 in that small area.

Moonlight inn is GREAT. Firehouse Bar and Grill in Capreol has good food.
What did you think of the interior of the firehouse? somewhere you would take your wife?.

Is there a way to see which club (s) groom what trails? I thought I had seen that somewhere last year but an not find it now. Would make it easier to choose which club on the permit form.

Sudbury faired ok. We avoided lakes today, trails were a bit rough. Lots of lube on trails here. Just had to watch the small creeks that run under the trail. Sides were starting to wash out
