What about flying into QC and renting there?
Dealers in Mount Laurier have a big rental fleet. Not sure about the logistics but the rental game is big in Quebec.

All that pops up on Search is flights to Timmins.

Probably only Timmins.
And Val D’OR if you prefer QC.

Do any airlines provide regular flights to/from in the winter from our area or TO?

At least it's built and off the assembly line this year prior to March.
It’s actually a 2022 that I held at dealer for summer. At least it’s in their showroom blocking space they need so update should get done once available

Went by Polaris dealer this week and sat on my new sled. Made vroom vroom noises.. They are stacked up on built sleds waiting for recall. No release until recall completed.
And He told me not to bring in my 2019 for service as he would not be allowed to release until recall complete. Or maybe he doesn’t have the space to hold it.
Polaris has promised to release a fix by end of month. And then it will be chaos for dealers with an extra 1 1/2 hours on each sled.

I'm guessin' that there is more to that strap than jist a chunk of rubber. (???)
Prolly copper lined?
Well, I was searching for a pic of a '68 Caprice or equiv with curb feelers AND a grounding strap, but this was as good as I was finding.
We could have really used one of these on our '96 'Burban!
Self Serve is aboot the only reason that we didn't blow up any gas stations.
As soon as you got out you got a good poke, so it was safe after that.
When I worked on the pipelines under hydro towers every vehicle had to have a grounding device. It could be a ground strap or some of us used a short piece of chain dragging from the trailer hitch chain holes.

I would like to know what was model of 16 sleds that had fires?
Are they all paddle tracked models with larger insulators to ground?
And now it’s a cover our ass situation? So many conditions must line up for a fire.

Wow that's a lovely screw up. Someone in engineering is in a big heap of you know what.
Don’t worry.
It’s only 16 fires out of 230,000 units.
Trudeau already has vaccines being shipped to Polaris and all will be cured.

Are the handlebars on the 600 adjustable? have they been adjusted to your preference? If not, adjusting may allow some more clearance.
No adjustments or fitting yet. It’s a new to us sled that I purchased from a friend this summer.
It will get a mid or high windshield first thing.

Thanks Stoney. I will check mine again. Maybe they will work for the amount of time they will ride.
I also have hand guards I can add. So maybe that is enough.

Hi,
looking for advice for gauntlets?
Something not to restrictive.
Sled is 2019 Polaris XC 600.
I have a set of Kimpex ones that I bought and have used in Northern Quebec. Just had an issue with them on my sled when backing up and turning. Could have been clearance issue on windshield.thank you for your help.

The used market is going to be flooded with units in the not too distant future - and the new market will return to it's pre- pandemic state- where dealers were sitting on inventory.
The saving grace for the new and used markets maybe the 2023 snowcheck programs by the manufacturers. While the manufacturers were criticized for shutting down snow checks and limiting sales they may look like geniuses now!
Imagine if they had been able to build and flood the market with as many orders as people wanted. And deliver them of course.

Even though everything is "sold" right now, my dealer agrees that there are going to be lots of new sleds available this fall. He already is getting a call every week from someone saying that they might not be able to take their 23 sled in the fall and if someone else wants it today, they will walk away from the deal.
One of my best buddies is a Ford dealer and he said that they have no inventory but the floor traffic has come to a grinding halt as well. The US Export has taking a huge tumble as well. He sold my 21 F150 Lariat for $59K a month ago and told me he could only get $52-53 max for it today.
What sled dealer?I have a couple buddies looking for new 850 XRS.

New volunteers for any committee need a firm handshake welcome and a committment that you are actually going to use them in a good position that is empty. None of this just show up, we will figure out how to use you later etc.. Make a list of empty positions that can be filled immediately. And good positions. I know it can seem that every guy wants to run the groomer, not many want to stand knee deep in cold river water fixing broken bridges. When new people come to the first meeting they have already got ideas of what they can do and help with. Its very discouraging to offer to help groom and get told Old George does that, need help patrolling, well maybe but Mary Fred and Charlie are doing that etc. Need someone to run the bbq and food tents on events, well nope, we got that covered too. I hear this all the time at the window of the chip truck when people try to get on long standing committees or try to volunteer at community events. And often when people are already deeply involved in committee work they take resentment when the people in charge start asking for volunteers to do the work that volunteer has done for years, and often alone. You cant off load the crap work, the working in buggy hot or cold rainy weather to new people. One of the biggest complaints I hear all the time, is that the 4 or 5 Legions within driving distance to us are always asking for volunteers. People show up hoping to bartend on Canada day or be the rib guy in the fall. They go to all the Legions within their driving comfort distance. Nope, they get told they can be handy helping cars park or keeping open alcohol from going home in cars. And no shares in the tips, the same bartenders get all the tips. And if they want to volunteer on the big events, they can come in on the Tuesday after and clean the bar area because the other volunteers couldnt clean after a busy long weekend. People get very discouraged when they try to get involved in an already long running volunteer event.
Sounds like local Lions club. Old boys discouraged any new ideas from younger members. Younger members disappear.

How far are you from Owen Sound? 😂 We welcome all volunteers and scoop up people like you that get ignored elsewhere!
Maybe this year will be different.
I guess we just need to get more determined.
