  1. Greetings all,

I figure its been asked before but I couldn't find it, so sorry if I am asking again.

Last year I rode on the 131,132, 136 trails which were fun to ride. We rode to the end of 136 and saw tracks which I suspect goes to trail 137. As anyone taken the trail to 137 and if so was it dangerous. It looks like steep terrain so a groomer can not make the trip.

We are doing the counter clockwise RAP in a couple of weeks and I was hoping to change up the riding area around Deep River.

    Thanks,

    Jerry

I can say from experience, USE FLOOR OR KNEE PADS! I've spent the last week & 1/2 on crutches from spending 2 hours on my knees laying carpet at a trade show. Bursitis in the right knee. I thought I had good knees, had down this type of work & other kneeling work frequently in the past. Likely going to miss our sled trip north in a couple weeks because of my knee. :-x

    Respect the knees!

Totally  understand what you are going through. I installed laminate in our basement and after physio for a few months and a year later I still having knee issues. getting old sucks.

For work I now have a pair of indoor knee pads and an outdoor set. I wear them if I am on my knees for any length of time.

  3. Great show and nice to say hi to a few of you. Enjoyed the outdoor market. Friends bought some parts. I bought a Paudash sticker. I have all I need right now.

I went to the canoe museum after since I have a yearly membership.

  4. Search on you tube for the lock picking lawyer. He demonstrates the ease of picking locks and brute force attacks of locks. He is very informative and gets straight to the point. I have watched many of his videos and the conclusion is Master Locks are one of the worst locks out there along with any Chinese locks. A lock he recommended is made by Proven Industries.

The opening/closing of trails is a club and/or District function. Whatever the issue is that is causing trails not to get opened if they are fit to open should be a question posed to the appropriate person(s). Ask the appropriate district office who makes the decision and then talk to that person.

I don't believe these are  ITG software issues at least not with our club. Our trail coordinator asked the appropriate paid district person by email late Wednesday for our trails to be marked Limited as of yesterday. That person did mark them open yesterday but according to my computer that did not happen until very late in the day. Not sure if the person was real busy and didn't get to doing it until late in the day or if there was other special circumstances but if its a busy thing, that is wrong in my books. Riders lost a most of a day of riding our trails. ITG changes should be the highest priority especially in a year when we haven't been able to be open until now.

I think it should be possible that each district have their own access to the map and update on their own whenever they want. Why leave it to one paid person to find the time to do the updates. The map is most likely a database where there is a value assigned to each section of trail closed, limited, open or unknown. Assign a login id and password to each district's section of the database and make their own changes.
